Research On Mannheim’s Theory Of Ideology

Research on the subject of ideology is often new in academic circles at home and abroad,and foreign scholars have made a lot of contributions to the research of this topic,Karl Mannheim is one of them.As one of the founders of the sociology of knowledge,his ideological theory constitutes an important field of Western ideological theory research,which has a positive role in helping us understand the scientific nature of Marxist ideological theory.This paper selects Mannheim’s ideological theory as the research object,hoping that through the detailed review and further combing of the theory,it can not only trace the development process of ideological theory from the theoretical level,but also provide thinking and enlightenment for ideological work from the practical level.The article begins by describing the process by which Mannheim’s ideological theory emerged.The life of Mannheim,the background of the era and the theoretical background are introduced respectively.Secondly,the paper analyzes the construction process of Mannheim’s ideological theory.Through the analysis of Mannheim’s ideological conceptual provisions,the relationship between ideology and utopia,ideology and false consciousness,ideology and knowledge sociology is expounded,and on the basis of interpreting his main works,he traces the process of realizing his theoretical ultimate concern with ideology as a starting point.Then it shows the basic framework and theoretical connotation of its ideological theory.Finally,the paper evaluates the contributions and limitations of Mannheim’s ideological theory and analyzes its contemporary value.In general,Mannheim’s ideological theory not only opens a new aspect of contemporary ideological theory research from the theoretical level,tries to introduce ideological concepts into the field of people’s thinking and understanding of social life,expounds the uniqueness of its ideological theory from a new perspective,and analyzes its theory to help us to promote the practice of state ideological work to complete theoretical reflection.At the same time,studying the emergence and unique content of Mannheim’s ideological theory and analyzing the shortcomings of its theory can also provide reference for the scientific demonstration and practical feasibility of Marxist ideological theory in China.
