The rights protection protests initiated by the public due to the damage of their own interests have been the long-term focus of research on Internet protests. However,in recent years, compared with the past, public rights protests on the Internet have shown a new trend of helping others, and the emotional orientation of the public and the corresponding logic of protest have also emerged In particular, anger has become an important emotional force for the public to actively participate in the struggle for other people’s online rights,so it is worthy of further examination and exploration in existing research. In view of this, this article adopts empirical research, focusing on the recent typical case of "a woman who gave birth to eight children" in Fengxian County,Jiangsu Province, and examines and explores the mechanism of anger in the public’s struggle for the rights and interests of others on the Internet,so as to reveal the role of anger in public political life.Constructive role. This article specifically uses the qualitative research methods of case study and text analysis. On the one hand,it starts with the issue of the public’s struggle for the rights of the "eight-child girl",and analyzes why they are angry by focusing on the common values behind it.On the other hand,Examine the emotional expression strategies in the public rights defense struggle, and analyze how the expression of anger activates a broader motivation for participation. Finally, starting from the whole evolution process of the incident,it specifically analyzes the mechanism of public anger on the struggle for Internet rights and interests. This study believes that the Internet provides the public with a space for meaning construction and emotional expression. The reason why the public is angry at the damage to the rights and interests of others is that it is influenced by value cognition factors, that is,the whole incident violates the Citizens’ basic rights are inviolable, the exercise of rights is not interfered with, and public officials should perform their duties with due diligence and other common value standards, thus resulting in protest behaviors to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of others.More importantly, the public not only participated out of righteous anger, but also gathered momentum by constructing anger, that is,through the flexible use of emotional expression strategies such as "creating contrast","invoking empathy",and "questioning and exposing",more people were successfully activated anger to advance protest action. In particular,it cannot be ignored that anger affects the entire process of online rights and interests struggles. The generation, continuation, and transformation of public anger correspond to the mobilization, escalation, and fading stages of protest actions, and drive the ultimate realization of rights and interests protection appeals. In short, online rights activists use the Internet platform to enhance their anger experience and engage in social interaction through anger expression.During this period, the evolution and transformation of anger ultimately promotes the entire process of online rights protection struggle.
