| The Communist Party of China has always attached great importance to cadre education, which is closely related to the development of the CPC’s cause.China has been an agricultural country since ancient times, and farmers account for the vast majority of Chinese population."Whoever wins the peasants will win China".In order to win the support of the peasants, the CPC must give priority to solving rural problems. Therefore,in the vast rural land of China, the CPC began to establish its own political power,to realize the people’s democratic dictatorship in the rural areas,to free the peasants from the shackles left by the feudal system, and let them become the masters of the country.Cadres under the direction of the CPC went out into the countryside, mobilized the masses and began a series of massive mass struggles.By the end of 1952,the land reform was basically complete.Just as the CPC envisioned, the identity of the peasants and the identity of the new country drove them to protect and preserve their hard-won victories. To this end they will voluntarily join in the nation-building.The emergence of a large number of farmer activists makes the team of rural cadres continue to grow, but due to the lack of timely and effective ideological education, the ideological problems of rural cadres began to be exposed, and the CPC has faced a new challenge in the work of cadre education.During this period, the most prominent ideological problem of rural cadres was the "slack" and " retrogress" thought that appeared in most rural areas after the land reform.Rural cadres believed that "the revolution is over and the world is at peace",so they immersed themselves in production and did not care about politics. In order to correct the wrong thoughts of rural cadres, the New Hunan Daily launched a representative discussion movement of "Li Sixi Thought",which was a successful practice of the CPC integrating state ideology into the thoughts of rural cadres after the founding of New China. This article focuses on the CPC’s ideological reform of grassroots rural cadres in the early days of the founding of New China, taking the "Li Sixi Thought" in Hunan province as a case study, which is divided into four parts: The first part introduces the overall situation of rural cadres in the early days of the founding of New China and the general problems existing in the group ideology of rural cadres in this period; The second part is the empirical study of the ideological problems of the rural cadres in the early days of the founding of New China, through the rural cadres "slack" thought to see what is the root cause of this phenomenon; The third part analyzes the necessity of ideological reform of rural cadres from the "dual role" of rural cadres in the early days of the founding of New China, and summarizes the measures of rural cadres’ ideological transformation by taking "Li Sixi Thought" Discussion as an example; The fourth part summarizes the achievements and experiences of the CPC’s ideological reform of rural cadres in the early days of the founding of New China. |
