In recent years,the state attaches great importance to the work of college students and students’ ideological and political work,and has issued a series of policy documents to guide the work of college students.As the main force of students’ work,college counselors are mainly responsible for students’ ideological and political education,the construction of students’ party and league and other management work,and their value and function are obvious.Through the promulgation and implementation of a series of laws,regulations and policy documents,the social recognition and salary of the whole group of college counselors have been improved to a certain extent.Therefore,how to improve the work performance of college counselors,so as to better serve the work of students has gradually become an important issue of the Party,the country and colleges themselves.In this context,through literature research,this paper sorted out various policies,and then interviewed 20 counselors from 5 colleges and universities in Tianjin and Hebei Province.On this basis,the research hypothesis was made,and the dimensions of counselors’ work performance and influencing factors of counselors’ work performance were modeled.Counselors’ work performance was divided into four dimensions,namely task performance,relationship performance,and relationship performance.Learning performance and student achievement performance.The influencing factors of counselors’ work performance are studied from three aspects: social recognition,material reward and job challenge.The scale was designed to obtain data in the form of questionnaires.SPSS software was used to conduct scale test and hypothesis test on the data.After the scale passed the reliability and validity analysis,exploratory factor analysis,canonical correlation analysis,regression analysis,weight analysis and other methods were carried out to verify the establishment of the research model.Student achievement performance is most closely related to counselor performance.Among the four dimensions of counselors’ work performance,the weight of learning performance is the largest.In addition,in order to explore whether counselors’ performance is also affected by their own factors,leading to the difference in performance,the analysis of variance is also carried out on the basic personal characteristics that affect counselors’ work performance,and the results show that counselors’ marital status,age and working age have an impact on counselors’ work performance.Based on this,the author puts forward some policy suggestions on the evaluation and improvement of counselors’ work performance.Based on the empirical research,this paper puts forward some suggestions to optimize the work performance of college counselors in the next step.Education authorities can continue to focus on improving the social status of counselors,improve the salary structure by using the salary gradient,and establish a multi-level and multi-type training system.
