No matter how wonderful the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games are,without the media,it will be difficult to realize the wide spread of the Olympic spirit During the preparation and hosting of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games,the media shoulder the responsibility of publicizing news,arousing the enthusiasm and participation of the people,and guiding public opinion at home.At the international level,the media shoulder the mission of conveying the voice of the country and presenting China’s image.This study using the literature material method,text analysis and comparative analysis,to Laswell’s 5W theory,agenda setting theory and social responsibility theory as the theoretical basis,analyzing the reporting characteristics,reporting subjects,content presentation,reporting forms,user experience and reporting effects of the British media Inside the Games and the American media Around the Rings during the last three Winter Olympic Games.Reflecting on the strategies and topics of British and American reports of the Winter Olympics,the thesis aims to provide inspiration for the news publicity and other preparations for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.Research findings and conclusions:(1)Both the British media Inside the Games and the American media Around the Rings are important Olympic news websites,and their reports are characterized by the coexistence of immediacy and temporality,pluralism and centrality,political and tendency,as well as proximity and interaction(2)The reporting strategies of British and American media for the Winter Olympics are as follows:gather diverse and professional reporting subjects to improve the degree of news originality;General reports and series reports exist together,focusing on medals and hot events,personalized communication forms,highlighting brand awareness;Enhance social elements and interactive functions to create differentiated user experience;Improve the degree of centrality and activity,dissemination effect is good.British and American media’s coverage of the Winter Olympics is reflected in the following six topics:Product and Experience,Stakeholder Services,Venues and
