The health of young children is related to the happiness of the family and the future of the nation.Since around 2001,the number of studies related to children’s sports and sports participation has increased rapidly, and the society’s attention to children’s sports has continued to increase. At present, the research results in the field of children’s sports are relatively concentrated, and the research on children’s sports participation is relatively scattered.Ecosystem theory,as an important theory of environmental influences on individual behavior,is relatively crudely applied in the field of children’s sports.In-depth investigation and analysis of the factors affecting children’s sports participation will help parents, kindergarten teachers and other relevant personnel to take more appropriate and effective measures to promote children’s sports participation. This research is based on the theory of ecosystem, using various research methods such as observation, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics. The purpose of the research is to clarify the status and influencing factors of children’s sports participation, explore the interaction between direct influencing factors, and make suggestions for promoting children’s sports participation. This research is divided into three parts. The first part is to use the Chinese version of the Children’s Physical Activity Questionnaire to investigate and analyze the status of children’s sports participation. This study divides children’s sports participation into three dimensions:physical activity level, physical activity perception and physical self-perception.The second part is based on ecosystem theory, using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, the Sports Environmental Assessment Scale, the Community Environmental Evaluation Scale and other surveys to analyze the microsystem and macrosystem of children’s sports participation. The third part is to use a variety of data analysis methods to analyze the ecosystem of children’s sports participation, that is the interaction between the direct influence factors. This paper selects 250 children from three kindergartens and their parents, kindergarten teachers and community workers in Changzhou as samples. The following conclusions are drawn:(1)According to the results, there are no significant differences in sports participation among children of different genders and body mass indexes.(2)The direct influencing factors of children’s physical activity level are kindergarten curriculum resources and environment, teaching methods, activity and thinking support, parents" educational level, family income level, parents’physical activity level and father’s material convenience. The factors that have an interactive influence are the communication between parents and teachers versus parents’ physical activity level, the communication between parents and teachers versus father’s material convenience.(3)The direct influencing factors of children’s physical activity perception are the mother’s educational level, parent’s material convenience, mother’s encouragement, mother’s participation and peer recognition. The interactive factors are father’s role model versus peer recognition, mother’s role model versus mother’s encouragement.(4)The direct influencing factors of children’s physical selfperception are father’s role model, father’s participation, mother’s material convenience and encouragement. The factors that have an interactive influence are father’s role model versus peer recognition, mother’s participation versus peer recognition.(5)Influencing factors in ecosystem are kindergarten-school cooperation, policy systems and social events.(6)The author suggests that kindergartens should strengthen kindergarten-school cooperation.Kindergartens and parents should understand and implement policies and guidance.Parents should strengthen communication with teachers, give children full support and company, establish positive role models and cultivate children’s interpersonal skills.
