| With the development of the Internet and the popularity of mobile devices,online games have attracted more and more players.Most of the hot games in the domestic market at present are competitive games,such as "King’s Glory","Peace Elite" and so on.However,such games often require players to invest a lot of time and energy,and non-professional players mostly play games daily for the purpose of getting a short break,and the overly heavy game tasks will add to the psychological burden of players.In recent years,the market share of simulation games has gradually increased,and the lightness of the tasks of these games is loved by many players.2020 July,after the opening of a domestic ancient style simulation game "Jiangnan Hundred Scenes",the number of players rose sharply,and within two months,its download volume steadily ranked the first domestic simulation hand game,and the flowing revenue in August alone exceeded 170 million yuan.The game’s original Ming Dynasty Jiangnan town game setting,national style graphics,and the cultural and historical elements contained in the game are loved by players and have attracted a large number of gamers.What are the characteristics of simulation game players,why these games are loved by players,and what game behaviors are generated by players in these games.Answering these questions will help the long-term development of domestic simulation games.In this context,based on the theoretical framework of use and satisfaction,this paper selects the popular domestic simulation game "Jiangnan Hundred Scenery",studies the use motivation and use behavior of simulation game players,explores the correlation between players’ demographic characteristics and use motivation,demographic characteristics and use behavior,and use motivation and use behavior,and proposes the improvement of the subsequent development of simulation games on this basis.strategies.This paper first adopts purposive sampling and snowball sampling methods,and conducts in-depth interviews for more than 30 minutes with 19 players from the game community of Jiangnan Hundred Scenes to explore players’ motivation to play this game and their specific behaviors in the game,modifies and adjusts the game motivation and game behavior scales used in previous studies of other game genres,and adds the interview obtained in the scales to The game behavior and game motivation scales of simulation game players are modified and adjusted,and the new contents obtained from the interviews are added to the scales to form the game behavior and game motivation scales.On the basis of the scale,we designed a questionnaire and distributed it to the official QQ group of Jiangnan Hundred Scenes,Weibo super talk,Douban group and TapTap platform to attract active players and deep players to fill in the questionnaire.Finally,479 valid questionnaires were collected.After the data of the questionnaires were operationalized,SPSS26.0 tool was used to analyze the questionnaire data.Firstly,factor analysis was used to extract factors from the original game scale.The factor analysis revealed that the secondary measures of the original game motivation and game behavior scales were changed.Correlation analysis and regression analysis were done after the adjustment of the scales.The obtained results show that the demographic characteristics of the players of Jiangnan Hundred Scenes have an impact on the players’ game motivation and also on the players’ game behavior.Players’ game motivation will also have an impact on game behavior.Based on the data from the empirical analysis,this paper proposes the following development strategies for simulation games:return to"Buddhist" positioning,enrich activity planning,change payment mode,and strengthen social attributes. |
