The party and the state attach great importance to the physical health of college students.In the "outline of building a sports power",it is clearly proposed to link the physical health level of students with academic evaluation,and pay close attention to the physical health of students.With the continuous improvement of people’s living standards,the lifestyle and sports habits of college students have changed,and the growth environment of college students has become more and more superior.However,it has brought about that students have developed bad habits such as lack of physical exercise awareness and scientific exercise knowledge,serious fear of difficulties in sports,and sitting still for a long time in a superior life.These problems have seriously hindered the improvement of College Students’ physical health,In particular,the physical condition of male college students is uneven,there are few excellent and many weaknesses,which is in contrast to the current social expectations for male college students.As a short-term,efficient and convenient training method,Tabata training method plays a great role in improving the aerobic and anaerobic working ability of the body.Physical education teaching is an important channel to improve the physical health level of college students.This study attempts to apply Tabata training method in public physical education teaching in Colleges and universities to improve the physical health level of college students,which not only provides new schemes and choices for improving the physical health level of college students,but also provides new ideas for teaching reform.Using the methods of literature,expert interview,mathematical statistics and experiment,combined with their own internship experience,this study takes "the impact of Tabata training method on the physical health of male college students" as the research object,and carries out Tabata training for 35 male freshmen in the College of machinery of Zhengzhou University for 10 weeks.Through Excel and spss25 The data analysis system collates and compares the data obtained before and after the experiment to explore the impact of Tabata training method on the physical health indicators of male college students.The main results of the study are as follows:1.Tabata training method has a significant impact on some body shape indexes of male college studentsThe 10 week Tabata training intervention can effectively improve the body shape indexes of male college students.The paired sample t-test is carried out on the weight data,BMI data and height data of male college students before and after the experiment.The results show that the differences of weight and BMI indexes of the experimental subjects are very significant(P < 0.01),but there is no significant difference in height indexes(P > 0.05).2.Tabata training method can effectively improve the physical function indexes of male college studentsAfter 10 weeks of Tabata training,there was significant difference in vital capacity among male college students(P < 0.01).3.Tabata training method can significantly improve some physical fitness indexes of male college studentsAfter 10 weeks of Tabata training,it has a positive effect on the physical fitness indexes of male college students,which shows that there are very significant differences in the indexes of 50 m running,standing long jump,1000m(male)and pull-up(P < 0.01),but there is no significant difference in the indexes of sitting forward flexion.4.The consistency between the scores of some projects is improvedThe results of 50 meter run and standing long jump showed a consistent improvement;Vital capacity and 1000 meter race performance showed consistent improvement,and the data of these four test items showed significant differences(P <0.05).The following suggestions are made for this study:1.In the application of Tabata training method in public physical education teaching,we should try to make the training times reach three times a week,so as to give full play to the effectiveness of Tabata training method to the greatest extent.2.The design of Tabata training scheme needs to be targeted according to different objects,different objectives and different conditions.3.The implementation process of Tabata training should be more scientific.4.While using Tabata training to improve students’ physical health,we should also actively pay attention to the improvement of students’ Sports literacy.
