| In recent years,with the accelerated development of the city,more and more migrant workers and their children have poured into Suzhou.Suzhou Gusu District,as the core urban area and ancient city district,has become a popular place for migrant workers to come to Suzhou due to its geographical advantages,low employment threshold and low cost of living.Migrant-children have become a huge group of students in Gusu District,and the total number is increasing year by year.Whether they can receive high-quality education is not only related to individuals and families,but also related to the overall population quality of the region.Education plays a role in Building Morality and cultivating people.In the primary school stage of compulsory education,extracurricular reading is of far-reaching significance to the growth of students.Taking the public g primary school in Gusu District of Suzhou,which is mainly attended by migrant children,as an example,the author conducted a sampling questionnaire survey on the middle and senior students and their parents in the critical period of physical and mental development of the primary school,and conducted in-depth interviews with individual students and teachers.The results show that the extracurricular reading situation of migrant children in the middle and upper grades of compulsory education primary school is not ideal.They are faced with problems such as insufficient reading time,weak interest in reading,limited access to books and low taste in choice,lack of teacher guidance,insufficient family reading support and so on.In view of the existing problems,the author stands at the school level,grasps the key factors such as students’factors,family factors,schools and teachers’ factors and other factors,and puts forward effective education management strategies from five aspects:strengthening the construction of school library,ensuring sufficient reading time,improving teachers’ reading guidance level,improving home school mutual cooperation mechanism. |
