| The implementation of the subject core literacy is an important goal of basic education.It is a hot research question to cultivate the geography core literacy of senior high school students through the geography study travel courses.However,the practical research of the geography study travel course focuses on the cultivation of geographical practical ability,while the cultivation of comprehensive thinking,regional cognition and human-place coordination view is rarely discussed.Relevant researches mainly focus on high schools in eastern cities with perfect teaching facilities,which are difficult to be used for reference by ordinary high schools in western cities.Therefore,the study takes ordinary high schools with weak comprehensive strength for an example to explore the practical methods of geography study travel course based on the cultivation of four geographical core literacy.In this research,teachers were interviewed to explore the problems existing in the geography study travel courses in Zhongheng Senior High School.Secondly,based on the interview results and literature,a questionnaire was developed for teachers and students to investigate the present situation of the geography study travel courses in Pingchuan District of Baiyin city from the aspects of time,content,process,evaluation and influence.It is found that the class schedule does not conform to the students’ work and rest rules,the subject core literacy objectives are not written and displayed,the teaching content is mainly nature geography,the teachers teach too much or too little,and the curriculum evaluation system is not perfect.Based on the above problems and curriculum models in the literature,this study optimized the research curriculum from the three stages of pre-class,while-class and post-class,including course content selection,class planning,theme arrangement,geography core literacy objective design,the selection of teaching method and tools,guidance plan examination and diversified course evaluation.In this study,the geography study travel course cases of Quwushan and Jing Coal Power Plant were made,and the applicability of the research course and its effect on the cultivation of students’ geography core literacy were tested by comparative experiment and case study.The practice shows that the curriculum based on the core literacy of the subject is beneficial to improve students’ comprehensive thinking,man-land coordination view,regional cognition and geographical practice ability,compared with the traditional curriculum.The research found that improving the preparation of class,the implementation process and the evaluation system is conducive to developing and optimizing the research curriculum for the high schools with weak comprehensive strength.First,students are trained before class through fixed study groups and subject infiltration learning,and teachers’ skills are trained by means of offline school cooperation and online communication.Using such teaching models as "long plus short" class hour mode,setting and defining teaching objectives based on geographic core literacy,choosing project-based teaching methods,selecting lecture notes and schedule can significantly improve students’ participation and completion level in class.Second,coordinating the relationship between teaching and guidance according to the teaching draft and implementing the feedback of the guidance plan can optimize the implementation effect of the study travel courses.Third,the establishment and improvement of evaluation content through growing portfolio has positive influence on curriculum effect and students’ development.This study enriches the research content of the geography study travel courses and the practical plans and strategies of core literacy,which provides the theoretical and practical basis and methods for developing the geography study travel courses and cultivating students’ geography core literacy in ordinary senior high schools. |
