| With the rapid development of the Internet,mobile communication devices show unprecedented "vigor",which provides convenience for people’s life and work.Employees can keep in touch with others anytime and anywhere during off-duty hours,and deal with work affairs without being restricted by fixed office spaces and equipment.This situation makes the whole work and life appear in a state of "connection".This kind of work connectivity behavior after-hour(hereinafter referred to as WCBA)is becoming more and more common.WCBA has had a significant impact on the work and family resources of employees,and because of this,it has gradually attracted the attention of scholars and achieved many academic research results.Looking back on past research,WCBA’s related research focus on the work-family field,pointing out that it will not only cause family-to-work conflict,but also have an impact on work-family enhancement.Nowadays,the academic community on the WCBA’s exploration of the field of work and family has not yet formed a unified conclusion.The work-family balance has attracted great attention from scholars at home and abroad.Therefore,this study used work-family balance as an outcome variable to explore the mechanism of WCBA’s impact on employees’ work-family balance.This study based on the Conservation of Resources Theory and the Job DemandsResources Model,reviewed the previous research to integrate the negative and positive perspectives,then introduced work-related rumination(Affective rumination,problem-solving pondering)as an intermediary;based on the Work-Family Boundary Theory,boundary segmentation preferences is introduced as a adjustment to explore the "double-edged sword" effect of WCBA on work-family balance.This study used the questionnaire survey method,and the questionnaires were distributed twice in different time periods.After pairing screening,a total of 393 valid questionnaires were collected.The sample data were processed and analyzed by SPSS26.0,Process3.3 and AMOS24.0,and finally drew the following conclusions:(1)WCBA(duration,frequency)negatively predicts work-family balance;(2)WCBA(duration,frequency)positively predicts affective rumination;positively predicts problem-solving pondering.(3)WCBA(duration,frequency)passes affective rumination further hinders workfamily balance;WCBA(duration,frequency)promotes work-family balance through problemsolving pondering.(4)Boundary segmentation preference positively regulates the negative impact of emotional rumination on work-family balance,that is,weakens the negative impact of emotional rumination on work-family balance;boundary segmentation preference negatively regulates the positive effect of problem-solving meditation on work-family balance,that is,attenuating the positive effect of problem-solving musing on work-family balance.Finally,we discussed the conclusions of this research,drew the theoretical and practical inspirations,reflected the deficiencies,the future and possible research directions of this study are also proposed. |
