A Case Study Of Music Therapy Relieving The Negative Emotions Of Family Members Of Cancer Patients

In recent years,cancer has continuously threatened people’s health,and its diagnosis rate and fatality rate have been increasing year by year.Family members of cancer patients are prone to negative emotions such as anxiety and depression due to their heavy care burden.Emotional health problems of family members of cancer patients not only affect their own physical and mental health,but also affect the treatment of cancer patients and the doctor-patient relationship.In this study,M,a family member of cancer patient who is suffering from negative emotions,was used as the study object.On the basis of using the literature research method to understand the psychological status of cancer patients and the clinical application of music therapy,the basic situation of the patients was collected by using the scale method and the interview method.The investigation found that the client currently has moderate anxiety and depression emotional problems.On this basis,the social worker further analyzed and found that the client still has needs for emotional communication and social interaction.Therefore,social workers have developed a casework plan,mainly using music therapy,but also using rational emotional therapy and empowerment theory.The specific intervention goals of the plan include reducing client stress,releasing negative emotions,enhancing self-empowerment,and strengthening support networks.The result shows that the intervention was effective in this case.The client’s depression and anxiety have eased and the care pressure has also decreased.Based on the methods and techniques used in the specific service process,the social worker reflected and summarized it,and found that the combination of music therapy and social work is effective,but there are also deficiencies in practical intervention.At the same time,social workers also put forward corresponding suggestions based on relevant practical experience,including improving the multidisciplinary integration ability and professional level of medical social workers.
