Study On The Influence Of Family Structure On Migrant Workers’ Consumption Behavior

During the 13 th Five-Year Plan period(2016-2020),China’s modernization of agriculture has made significant progress,and rural revitalization has got off to a good start.To rejuvenate the nation,rural areas must be revitalized.During the 14 th Five-Year Plan period,agriculture and rural areas remain the most arduous and onerous task for comprehensively building a modern socialist country and rejuvenating the nation.In 2021,the Central Government issued the opinions on comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and accelerating agricultural and rural modernization.In the opinions,the state attaches great importance to the role of rural consumption in rural construction.In this context,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the relationship between the family structure of migrant workers and their consumption behavior.In this paper,the consumption behavior of migrant workers is studied by using the method of binary regression and the data of CFPS survey in 2018.The consumption behavior in this paper is mainly studied in two aspects: consumption level and consumption structure.The conclusions about the influence of family structure on the consumption level of migrant workers are as follows :(1)the increase of the ratio of children to children in the family will promote the growth of the average consumption rate of migrant workers,while the ratio of elderly population will show a state of inhibition;(2)The increase of the proportion of migrant workers will lead to the decline of the average consumption rate,mainly because the increase of income is greater than the increase of consumption.Of family structure on the influence of the consumption structure of rural migrant workers the conclusion as follows:(1)the rise of migrant children in the family than on the three types of consumer have a positive promoting role,including for Xiang Shou Xing consumption to promote the highest,followed by necessity consumption,finally,the developmental consumption,and older people than the rise would be counterproductive for three kinds of consumption;(2)The ratio of migrant workers to consumption types shows a tendency to restrain consumption,which may be due to the fact that migrant workers mostly convert their income into savings or send it back to their hometown.Based on the analysis conclusions of this paper,we can improve the consumption level of migrant workers and optimize the consumption structure from the following aspects :(1)improve the rural consumer market and actively respond to the challenge of aging population;(2)Improve the skills of migrant workers and human capital investment;(3)Accelerate the integration of urban and rural areas at the county level and protect the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers;(4)Strengthen the education and guidance of migrant workers’ consumption concept...
