The Design And Practice Of Online Chinese Character Teaching For The Descendants Of Chinese Abroad Based On The Textbook Zhongwen

The importance of Chinese character teaching is self-evident,which has always been paid attention to in the field of Chinese second language teaching.Compared with many overseas Chinese learning groups,the group of the decedents of Chinese aboard has different learning styles,language background and great demand of character learning.When the teaching form is changed to online teaching due to the impact of the epidemic,"Online Chinese Character Teaching for The Decedents of Chinese Aboard " has become a problem that needs comprehensive thinking.Based on the teaching contents of Chinese characters in Volumes 1 and 2 of Zhongwen,combined with the psychological characteristics of Chinese American children and their particularity of Chinese learning,this paper discusses the teaching methods that suitable for online Chinese character teaching from three aspects,including stroke,partial side and whole character,and designs the teaching mode of "initial recognition-writing recognition-recognition-writing",four Chinese American children aged 6-9 in 100 fen Kids Chinese school were taken as the teaching objects to put the teaching methods and teaching models into practice.In order to investigate its effectiveness,the author invited two peer teachers with rich teaching experience to observe the class in the online classroom and fill in the scoring table.From the feedback of peer teachers,it can be seen that arranging activities according to the teaching mode of "initial recognition-recognition writing – recognition-writing" is conducive to the decedents of Chinese aboard to master the Chinese characters which required to recognize and write.Finally,the author puts forward four suggestions for online Chinese character teaching from the perspective of teachers as well,which are to arrange activities according to the teaching mode of "initial recognition-recognition writing-recognition-writing";Choose teaching activities that can give full play to the advantages of online teaching;Combine Chinese character teaching with online classroom management;Participate in the construction of a more targeted online teaching platform.
