Taking two sets of Chinese textbooks Hua Wen for primary school and Zhong Wen for primary school as samples,this paper uses research methods of comparative and data statistics analysis,and takes the list of Chinese Cultural Content Item List by Zhou Xiaobing,etc and the Classification List of Cultural Item in International Chinese Textbook by Zhongshan University as the classification standard of cultural items in this paper.And this paper makes statistics on the cultural items in textbooks,analyzes and discusses the classification of different stages and levels of textbooks,and compares the similarities and differences in the selection of cultural items in these two textbooks.In addition,the presentation and arrangement principles of cultural items are compared and analyzed.The research found that these two textbooks are basically similar in the selection of cultural items.the cultural contents are daily and easy for students to understand;There are few cultural items are abstract.But Zhongwen pay attention to the comparision of different culture,while Huawen focus on the introduction of Chinese culture.Their presentation are diverse,and most of them are narrative.The differences are: Firstly,the types of cultural illustrations are different;Secondly,Zhong Wen is more systematic and pays attention to introduce different cultures to students;Thirdly,the presentation of cultural items in Huawen are more diverse,and special cultural projects in textbooks are arranged for learners.Finally,based on the comparative analysis of these two textbooks,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the shortcomings of textbooks and classification standards.For textbooks,choose systematic,comprehensive and representative contemporary Chinese culture;Use many ways to present cultural items in textbooks;Pay attention to the arrangement order of Chinese poetry;Translate cultural materials into English or use more multimedia method to help understand cultural content;Not only showing Chinese culture,but also showing the cultural content of different countries and paying attention to the comparison between cultures.For classification standards,foreign cultural items need to be included in the classification standards;And classification of culture need to be more detailed.
