As one of the literacy genre children love most,fairy tales have great influence on the growth of children.Fantasy,aesthetic and entertainment of which motivate the imagination and creativity of children,mould the aesthetic of them as well.Fairy tales have been selected and compiled into primary school Chinese textbooks due to its unique value of education.This study takes the 2001 experimental edition and 2016 official edition of primary school Chinese textbooks published by the PEP as an example,analyse details of the select and arrange characteristics between the two different editions of textbooks from five aspects including the number,type,theme,arrangement order and the expression mode of the selected fairy tales.The author suggest that the number of selected articles is large and most of them concentrated in the lower years.the selection type is relatively single,most of them are anthropomorphic fairy tales.The theme is rich but mainly about preaching.The arrangement order of fairy tales in the two editions of textbooks is different.The method of expressing fairy tales in the official type of textbook is more accurate.At the same time,this paper also deeply researches and objectively describes the affection of fairy tales in the Chinese textbooks of primary schools for children,through the methods of questionnaire and interview.The results of the investigation show that:primary school students deeply affected by fairy tales,but they are not very satisfied with the fairy tales in textbooks.There's lack of the "fairy tale taste"during teaching.The level of affection for classical fairy tales is dif'ferent among primary school students.Based on that,this study puts forward some suggestions on the selection and teaching of fairy tales in primary school Chinese textbooks in terms of children,put another way,when selecting and compiling fairy tales,we ought to follow the wishes of children and improve the scientificity of fairy tales.Teachers should make rational use of fairy tales while teaching etc.
