Since the 1980s,various countries have paid more and more attention to the cultivation of citizens’ statistical literacy.It has been nearly two decades since China incorporated statistical knowledge into the mathematics curriculum of middle schools.In order to promote curriculum reform,it is an important direction of statistical teaching research at home and abroad to carry out teaching and learning research around statistical literacy.The research on statistical literacy of high school students in China is in the exploratory stageOn the basis of combing the relevant literature at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the connotation of statistical literacy,and defines the statistical literacy that senior high school students after accumulating some experience in statistical activities should have the ability to use their statistical knowledge and skills to reasonably explain and judge relevant problems in various situations or backgrounds,the ability to use statistical methods to solve practical problems after accumulating some experience in statistical activities,and the ability to think critically about statistical judgments.At the same time,the statistical literacy is compared with the data analysis literacy proposed in the mathematics curriculum standard for senior high schools(2017 edition,2020 revision),and the relationship between the two is obtained.At the same time,a test questionnaire was prepared around the four factors affecting statistical literacy(statistical knowledge and skills,statistical activities,the background of statistical problems,and the critical thinking of statistical judgment),to investigate the statistical literacy of high school students in a city of Guangdong Province,analyze the survey results,and conduct teaching practice and case analysis.The main results of the study include:(1)The relationship between statistical literacy and domestic data analysis literacy is analyzed;(2)Analyzed the survey results,the current situation and influencing factors of senior high school students’statistical literacy are got,and teaching suggestions are given;(3)Based on the cultivation of students’ statistical literacy,a teaching case is given for reference.The innovations of this paper include:combined with the research results on statistical literacy at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the connotation of high school students’ statistical literacy,compared with the relationship between statistical literacy and domestic data analysis literacy,and carries out targeted classroom teaching according to the survey results,so as to provide an operable example for cultivating senior high school students’ statistical literacy.
