Children are the future of the country and the hope of the nation.Restricted by the level of economic and social development,there are still unbalanced and inadequate problems in the development of children’s cause in China.As a special group in the society,the right of survival and development of children in difficulties has always been a common concern.The academic problems of children in difficulties are related to their education level,employment performance and all-round development.The survey found that the villagers of M four villages are an immigrant group formed through relocation,so the children in these families,they generally have a weak learning foundation,lack of interest in learning,unclear learning objectives,loose learning,poor initiative,and lack of learning confidence.In this paper,the author uses the group working method to study the academic status of the children in difficulties in M four villages,and discusses the role of social work practice on improving the learning ability of the children in difficulties..In the process of intervention,the author used the social interaction theory and the energy enhancement theory as the support,and used the observation method and the interview method to investigate the learning status of the children in M four villages.Through the demand analysis,we concluded that the children in M four villages wanted to improve their academic status and enhance their sense of gain and sense of achievement.In order to respond to the needs of the team members,the author recruited eight children in difficulties to form a development group of "learning with me".On the basis of the preliminary assessment,the author designed eight theme activities.From introducing group member familiar with each other,create interactive situation,with the help of game teaching,arouse children’s interest in learning,assist children make learning plans,learning methods,enhance academic confidence,help children cultivate knowledge transfer ability,and comprehensively improve learning ability to cope with the future learning life.After the group activity,the author evaluated and reflected on the whole service,tracked the situation and served the service objects,paid a return visit to understand the children’s final results,helped the team members to consolidate the learning results,and linked the "one to one" online assistance services for the children who need learning guidance.In the study,the author found that after the group activities,the children have significantly improved in learning,but the current group activities can only cover some children in difficulties,in addition,M four village plight children care project,children,director of the service ability,the school is not equipped with resident social workers,social work propaganda.Therefore,the author further tries to put forward suggestions and prospects,that is,to strengthen the publicity of social work,strengthen the cultivation of children director,equip one school and one social worker,and improve the ability of child care and service.
