Ancient poetry is the shining pearl of Chinese traditional culture.It embodies poets’ wonderful imagination and rich emotions,reflects the changes of The Times,and contains the cultural gene passed down from generation to generation.The teaching of ancient poetry is an important carrier for teenagers to learn excellent traditional culture.It is also the key and difficult point of Chinese teaching in high school.New criticism theory is a kind of literary criticism theory that tries to judge the value of literary works through close reading of texts.It takes text as the center,pays attention to the language form of texts,and then fully excavates the connotation of texts.Based on the current teaching status of ancient Chinese poems in high school,it starts from the concept of "new criticism" theory to explore the application of new criticism theory in the teaching of ancient Chinese poems in high school.In order to solve the problems existing in the teaching of ancient poetry in high school,such as teachers’text interpretation model and students’ appreciation skills.In the search for the connection between the new criticism theory and the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry in high school,it provides effective teaching strategies for teachers.The connotation of the new criticism is to insist on text-centered theory in text view,language study in semantic view and organic holism in content and form,and to form a set of effective criticism methods,including text close reading method,word analysis method,and organic holism.The significance of applying the new criticism theory to the teaching of ancient Chinese poems in high school lies in that it can provide teachers and students with a new reading perspective and improve their reading ability.The necessity is reflected in that the application of this theory can improve teachers’ teaching ability,promote the renewal of teachers’ teaching concept and enhance students’ core Chinese quality.The feasibility is reflected in that the theory attaches importance to language structure conforming to the new curriculum standard,attaches importance to text promoting teaching practice,and conforms to Chinese classical literary theory.The existing problems in the teaching of ancient poetry in high school are mainly reflected in the single perspective of teachers’ text interpretation,the superficial level of interpretation,the students’ appreciation skills and the fuzzy style of poetry teaching.The reasons for the problems are complex and diverse,among which the most obvious reasons are the lack of teachers’ teaching ability,the separation of teaching classroom from text and the heavy workload of students,and the separation of ancient poetry from students’ life.The teaching strategy of the new criticism theory in the teaching of ancient poetry in high school Chinese can firstly understand the connotation of poetry by using word analysis method,and carry out semantic analysis with hazy words as the core and word meaning analysis with key words as the starting point.Secondly,it reads the text closely,explores the image of ancient poetry,adopts the teaching strategy of looking for image and symbol,perceiving artistic conception and appreciating the blank of artistic conception.Finally,based on the text,the overall grasp of ancient poetry,not only from the form,around the beauty of the rhythm and rhythm of ancient poetry,appreciation of the "muscle" of ancient poetry,but also from the content,using organic whole and drama into the poem strategy,comb the "structure" of ancient poetry.The case design of the New Criticism Theory in the teaching of ancient Chinese poems in high school takes the Peacock Flying Southeast as an example to share the specific application process of the teaching strategy of ancient Chinese poems in high school under the new criticism theory and carry out application analysis,so as to further verify the feasibility of the new criticism theory and provide references for front-line teachers in the teaching of ancient Chinese poems in high school.Finally,based on the full text,this paper reflects on and looks forward to the introduction of the new criticism theory into the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry in high school,and analyzes the shortcomings,limitations,prospects and prospects of the introduction of the new criticism theory.
