Research On The Technical And Tactical Characteristics Of Nadal’s Hard Ground Singles

The objectives of research on the technical and tactical characteristics of Nadal’s hard court singles is to better promote the development of China’s men’s tennis hard court singles.At present,China ’ s men ’ s tennis singles players have made breakthroughs in world-class matches and ATP hard court tournaments,however,the overall progress has been moderative.Tennis,as a skill-driven net competition,indicates that the technical and tactical level is the most influential factor.An in-depth analysis of Nadal’s technical and tactical characteristics in hard court matches will not only clarify the technical and tactical characteristics of top men’s singles tennis players,but will also provide a reference for domestic men ’ s tennis players in hard court training and matches.This paper adopts literature material law,expert interviews,video analysis and mathematical statistics to study the technical and tactical characteristics of Nadal’s hard court singles,taking Nadal,who performed excellent technical and tactical skills and won the championship in the 2022 Australian Open,as the object of investigation,to conduct the statistics and analysis of his seven matches in the 2022 Australian Open,so as to clarify the technical and tactical characteristics of Nadal’s hard court singles.Moreover,on the basis of the enlightenment to China’s men’s tennis players,this paper proposes countermeasures for the development of China’s men’s hard court singles players.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)In the serving stage,Nadal ’ s first serve falls more in the inner and outer corners,and his second serve falls more in the middle and inner corners,sacrificing a certain speed to ensure the quality of service,with more double faults.In key points,Nadal grasps better than his opponents.When it comes to the third shot,forehand techniques are frequently taken compared with other shots,which moved the opponent through the left and right side of the point.In tactics,except for the first serve in the first zone of an outside corner line,Nadal rarely serves at the net.After the first serve,Nadal’s third shot is more aggressive.After the second serve,Nadal chooses a different hitting way according to the effect of the serve.In points scored and lost,points are mainly service points,while points lost are mainly service points lost.(2)In the receiving phase,Nadal presents a low success rate and a higher percentage of receiving points with higher break points.He improves his receiving success rate by choosing conservative lines in receiving,and acts also a bit more conservative in the drop of the fourth racket return.When it comes to the receiving game tactics,different techniques and tactics will be selected by Nadal depending on the drop of the receiving serve,which is more aggressive when he has an advantage in the drop of the receiving first serve.As for the receiving second serve,Nadal is pressed to the backhand while dragging the point into the holding phase more often.In the score,the score is mainly the receiving score,and the loss is mainly the receiving loss.(3)In the holding phase,Nadal scores more often,mostly in the early and late stages of the hold.With his strong forehand technique,Nadal chooses to move his opponent around.Tactically,if Nadal does not dominate the score in the early stages of the holding phase,he will choose the late holding phase to play more conservative shots and force his opponent make mistakes by moving around before attacking.(4)Research on the technical and tactical characteristics of Nadal’s hard court singles draws the following implications for the development of China’s tennis players.First,excellent baseline technique and defensive counterattacking ability are required.Second,tactical layout and execution ability shall be cultivated.Thirdly,physical fitness level is necessary.Fourth,players shall have a strong concentration capacity and mental toughness.Fifth,training on inferior techniques and tactics shall be strengthened.(5)Aiming at the development situation of domestic men’s tennis hard court singles,the following countermeasures are proposed: Firstly,strengthen the use of domestic men’s tennis players’ advantageous techniques and tactics to improve scoring efficiency;Secondly,improve the physical fitness level of domestic male tennis players to ensure their competitive state;Third,strengthen the psychological quality training of domestic male tennis players to ensure stable performance;Fourth,improve the technical and tactical comprehensiveness of domestic male tennis players,and improve the overall competitive level.
