| With the rise of online education,the number of online education users is increasing,but there are problems of low course completion rate and poor online learning effect.Therefore,improving online learning performance has become the focus of research in the field of online education.As an interactive tool,danmaku has the characteristics of immediacy,fragmentation,diversity,anonymity,and group identity of interaction.Danmaku can effectively alleviate the problem of insufficient communication of learners in online learning,reduce the loneliness caused by the separation of time and space in online education,enhance the learners’ sense of social presence,and then improve the learners’ learning performance.Therefore,studying the characteristics of danmaku in the field of online education and its impact on online learning performance will help to provide theoretical basis and practical suggestions for the application of danmaku in the field of online education.This research uses python to crawl the danmaku data of online educational videos with a large number of danmaku on the bilibili website.First of all,we use the DBSCAN algorithm for text clustering to obtain the text characteristics of danmaku;Then,based on the expanded sentiment dictionary,we analyze the emotions of the danmaku to obtain the emotional characteristics of danmaku;Finally,a quasi-experiment was conducted to study the impact of the danmaku on the learners’ online learning performance with the content attributes of the danmaku and the learner’s learning style as independent variables.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The text characteristics of danmaku.In the field of online education,danmaku can be mainly divided into two types:knowledge-based danmaku and interactive danmaku;(2)the emotional characteristics of danmaku.In online education,danmaku is mainly neutral,which mainly appears at the beginning of the video.At this time,danmaku mainly conducts review of knowledge points,ritualized check-in and online chat.We find that the emotional tendency of danmaku is closely related to the video teaching content and students’ learning situation;(3)the impact of danmaku on the learning performance.In terms of student performance,the learning performance of learners in knowledge-based danmaku teaching videos is significantly higher than that in interactive and non-danmaku teaching videos.The learning performance of contemplative learners in knowledgebased bullet screen teaching videos is significantly higher than that of interactive bullet screen and non-danmaku teaching videos.However,there is no significant difference in the academic performance of active learners under different danmaku conditions.In terms of learning satisfaction,active learners prefer teaching videos with danmaku,while the learning satisfaction of contemplative learners is not significantly improved compared with teaching videos without danmaku. |
