In the newly promulgated high school mathematics curriculum standard in 2017,six core competencies of mathematics were proposed,and mathematical operation is one of them.Among the five parts of the high school compulsory courses,each part has an emphasis on mathematical operations,and mathematics is also based on mathematical operations in other subjects,so the study of mathematical operations is very important.However,students have problems in mathematical operations that have no ideas or have ideas because of the large amount of calculations,so it is necessary to carry out research on the cultivation of mathematical operation ability in high school.The question types of conic sections have the characteristics of many variations,many conditional transformations,many formulas,and a large amount of calculation.The mathematical computing ability to solve these problems is what high school students lack,so using this part of the content It is very good to cultivate the mathematical operation ability of high school students.This paper firstly introduces the reason,content,method and significance of the research,and defines and divides the concept,composition and level of mathematical operation ability.According to the composition and level of mathematical operation ability,as well as reference textbooks and guidance books,etc.,a test paper for the current situation of high school students’ mathematical operation ability was compiled,and a class in a middle school in Harbin was selected for the test to understand the current situation of this class’ s mathematical operation ability.At the same time,a student with poor mathematical operation ability was selected from the class,and he was trained on a case-by-case basis using Polya’s problem-solving theory.After a period of tutoring,the tutoring process was recorded,and then a post-test was conducted.After the post-test,it was found that the mathematical operation ability of the students who changed their names had improved.Thus,the conclusion that the use of Polya’s problem-solving theory can improve the mathematical operation ability of high school students is obtained,and the strategy of cultivating high school students’ mathematical operation ability is put forward from the perspective of Polya’s problem-solving theory.This article is not only a promotion of Polya’s problem-solving thought,but also has important guiding value for the teaching of front-line teachers.
