Cultural self-confidence embodies the core and highest level of cultural soft power of a country’s comprehensive strength.Improving students’ cultural selfconfidence is of profound significance and important value,both for students to strengthen their ideals and beliefs and for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Since the 20 th National Congress,a series of policies related to cultural self-confidence have emphasized the importance of enhancing students’ cultural selfconfidence in the present era.Traditional national sports curriculum in senior high school is the proper meaning of traditional national sports to improve students’ cultural self-confidence.As an important part of traditional national sports,dragon dancing can not only enhance students’ physical health,but also be a favorable channel to cultivate students’ cultural self-confidence.In order to reveal the problems existing in cultivating high school students’ cultural self-confidence in dragon dance teaching,and then improve students’ cultural self-confidence in dragon dance,taking Tongliang Dragon in Chongqing as an example,this paper studies the cultural self-confidence of high school students participating in Tongliang Dragon Dance by using the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview and mathematical statistics.The results show that:(1)The construction of the index system of students’ cultural self-confidence in dragon dancing should follow the principles of comprehensiveness,practicality and accessibility;Its secondary indicators are divided into five aspects: cultural cognition,emotional experience,behavior performance,identity and communication mode.(2)Students’ self-confidence in dragon dance culture is generally good.In some schools,dragon dancing is included in the big recess and after-school exercise.Compared with other sports,students like dragon dancing and have more participants.(3)Students’ cognition of dragon dance culture is better in spiritual and cultural cognition;In the emotional experience,the indirect emotional experience is good;In the behavior performance,it is reflected in a high degree of overall identity;In terms of identity,it shows a high degree of affirmation of social identity.(4)Tonglianglong’s cultural self-confidence is influenced by grade and gender,which is mainly reflected in the fact that boys are more confident in dragon dancing than girls,and boys are more likely to get success and satisfaction than girls.Girls in all three grades show a lack of self-confidence in dragon dancing.(5)The problem existing in the cultivation of high school students’ selfconfidence in dragon dance culture is that they don’t understand the use of dragon dance venues;The direct emotional experience in dragon dance is not good;Low recognition of self-identity;And the lack of self-confidence reflected by the mode of communication and the people who spread it.The main reason is that the school does not pay enough attention to the development of dragon dance;The imbalance between physical education curriculum and cultural curriculum;Dragon dance can’t get satisfaction in a short time;The innovation ability of dragon dance is insufficient.(6)Suggest schools to recognize the development stage of dragon dance in today’s era and strengthen the popularization of dragon dance;Strengthen the construction of venue facilities and enhance students’ understanding of dragon dance venues;Further implement national policies and strengthen innovation in dragon dance competitions;Respecting the differences in students’ development stages,improving teachers’ teaching level,and enhancing students’ self-identity;Strengthen the innovation of campus dragon dance and competitive dragon dance,and continuously develop the innovative driving force of dragon dance.
