Since the 21st century,with the continuous expansion of the impact of informatization and economic integration,the process of globalization has gradually deepened,which has deepened exchanges and games in the fields of economy,culture,science and technology around the world,and gradually involved the field of talent.In order to better adapt to the trend of development of the times,China has been requesting the cultivation of more globally competent talents since the beginning of this century.To cultivate globally competent talents,it is necessary to have globally competent teachers.Teachers trained by normal universities are the main force in the teacher team,and teacher education courses are an important part of teacher education.Therefore,combining it with global competency education is very necessary for the improvement of teacher education curriculum system.This study conducted a textual analysis of the training programs for teacher education majors in some normal universities,as well as a questionnaire and interview survey of some normal university students,to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current situation of the teacher education curriculum system from the perspective of global competence.It was found that there are problems in the current teacher education courses from the perspective of global competency in terms of training objectives,curriculum structure,curriculum content,curriculum implementation,curriculum evaluation,and other aspects.For example,the training objectives do not reflect the importance attached to global competency education,the content of courses related to global competency needs to be enriched,the teaching methods are not conducive to global competency cultivation,the educational practice does not fully play the role of global competency cultivation,the assessment method is single,there is a lack of investigation of global competency,and the global competency level of teachers needs to be improved.Through in-depth analysis,this study concludes that the main reasons for these problems lie in the incomplete setting of global competency content in training objectives,the insufficient attention paid to global competency cultivation in the arrangement of curriculum content,the constraints on global competency cultivation caused by teaching methods and classroom size,the neglect of the role of educational internships in global competency cultivation,the difficulty in improving assessment methods,and the absence of global competency assessment indicators,and inadequate emphasis on the global competence of teachers.Finally,in response to the problems identified and their causes,this study proposes some suggestions for improvement.First,we should strengthen the importance of global competency cultivation and broaden the connotation of training objectives;Secondly,it is necessary to optimize talent cultivation programs and enhance the global competency education awareness of teachers and students;Third,teaching methods should be improved to promote global competency development;Fourth,we should recognize and give full play to the role of educational practice in cultivating the global competence of normal school students;Fifth,we should add global competency evaluation indicators and realize diversified assessment methods;Sixth,we should strengthen international exchanges and cooperation,improve teachers’ global competence.
