As an important holding point for the development of Chinese sports cause,competitive sports is an important carrier of realizing Olympic strategy,and also the core part of realizing the dream of sports power.Athletes are the main body of the sustainable development of competitive sports,and they will eventually face the day of retirement.In order to alleviate the employment pressure of retired athletes,realize the transformation and upgrading of their vocational skills,so as to better help retired athletes integrate into society and achieve employment.The state has successively issued the Notice on Issues related to the Employment and Placement of Sports Personnel,etc.,in order to provide reference for the re-employment and transformation of retired athletes in the future.Therefore,it is of certain theoretical and practical significance to clarify the employment of retired athletes,explore the employment situation,seek solutions,strengthen the career conversion of retired athletes,and help the integration of sports and education to promote the sustainable development of competitive sports.Through literature,questionnaire,interview,mathematical statistics and other methods,this paper systematically and comprehensively discusses the career conversion of retired athletes,providing scientific basis and reference value for the country to formulate relevant policies in the future.This paper is based on the introduction,literature review,current situation analysis,predicament analysis and countermeasures and suggestions.The main research results are as follows:The dilemma of career transition of retired athletes:(1)The government,sports management departments and relevant functional departments attach great importance to the vocational skills training of retired athletes in the transition period,and have issued corresponding policies and regulations to support it;(2)The factors restricting vocational skills training in the transition period include: low cultural level of athletes,lack of employment policies,closed interpersonal relationship of athletes,imperfect management system of reemployment training,weak effectiveness of reemployment training,etc.Solutions to the dilemma:(1)carry out transformation training to enhance employment competitiveness;(2)Improve the employment mechanism,improve the enthusiasm of transformation;(3)Expand interpersonal relations and promote information diversification.It provides reference for relevant functional management departments to organize and implement vocational skills training in the transition period and plays a positive role in the development of vocational skills training in the transition period.
