The preschool stage is the initial stage of a person’s life journey,and it is also an important period for the physical and mental development and personality development of young children.Implementing life cognition education in the preschool stage can effectively prevent young children from developing biases and self loss in the future,and enable them to form a positive outlook and attitude towards life.Preschool children may have many questions about life,which provides an opportunity for teachers to carry out life cognition education.Currently,kindergarten curriculum is mostly presented in the form of themed activities,with dynamic and life oriented characteristics.Combining life cognition education with themed activities can unleash greater educational value and effectively improve children’s understanding of life.This study used interview and observation methods to investigate and analyze the current situation of life cognition education in kindergartens.It was found that the content of life cognition education activities in kindergartens is scattered;Teachers have a vague understanding of life cognition education;There is significant room for the development of children’s cognitive development in their life growth process.Based on the research situation,this study uses methods such as picture books and multimedia to popularize relevant knowledge of life cognition education to young children,organizes and implements brainstorming,and jointly constructs a theme network with young children;We jointly discussed and preliminarily formulated the objectives of life cognition education activities with our cooperative teachers,explored and improved the activity plan,supplemented the necessary materials for the activities,and designed and carried out life source cognition education activities,life growth cognition education activities,and life death cognition education activities.At the same time,during the activity process,various forms of observation and recording were used to evaluate and reflect on the activity with the teacher.After educational activities,through qualitative analysis of first-hand information on children’s performance and teacher feedback,it was found that life cognition education activities can deepen teachers’ understanding of life cognition education;Promote young children’s understanding of the source of life;Strengthen children’s understanding of life growth;Deepen children’s understanding of life and death.Based on reflection on educational activities,strategies for carrying out life cognition education activities in kindergartens were summarized and refined:Using Life Resources Cleverly and Jointly Promoting the Development of Children’s Life Cognition through Homeland Cooperation;Carry out teaching and research activities to form a teaching and research community;Change concepts and learn life cognition knowledge;Based on young children,listen to their thoughts.The ultimate goal is to promote and carry out life cognition education activities for young children.
