In April 2022,the Ministry of Education issued the Curriculum Standards for Physical Education and Health in Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),which clearly put forward that the requirements of "church,diligent practice and regular competition" should be implemented,and a teaching system that organically combines "learning,practice and competition" should be established in the process of physical education in schools to cultivate the formation of students’ physical literacy.Embodied teaching emphasizes the unity of body and mind,attaches great importance to the all-round development of people,and provides answers for the core quality to respond to the "moral cultivation of people".In order to meet the requirements of school physical education reform in the new era and innovate new ideas of school physical education,this study adopts the research methods of literature method,interview method and field research method,starting from the three characteristics of "embodied cognition theory" and the teaching significance of embodied physical education,and focuses on teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching process,teaching situation,interdisciplinary learning and teaching evaluation.This paper explores the innovative application of game teaching method in junior high school basketball teaching,and uses experimental method to compare the differences between "game teaching method under embodied cognition theory" and "traditional teaching method" in junior high school basketball teaching,so as to provide a new theory and a new model for junior high school basketball teaching.Conclusions:(1)"Embodied cognition theory" is based on the integration of body and mind,emphasizing that the generation of individual cognition is determined by body,mind and environment.Its three characteristics of "embodied","situational" and "dynamic generation" have important guiding significance for education and teaching.(2)Embodied cognition theory can effectively promote the value return of physical education.Embodied teaching can change the phenomenon of "only seeing knowledge but not people" in teaching,implement "student-oriented",put the mind in the body and pay attention to the all-round development of people.(3)Embodied instructional design can be started from the six dimensions of teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching process,teaching situation,interdisciplinary learning and teaching evaluation.The six elements in the design are inseparable and closely combined to form a whole.(4)The experimental results prove that,compared with the traditional teaching method,the game teaching method based on the embodied cognition theory has more unique teaching effect,which can effectively improve students’ physical quality,interest in sports learning,basketball competition ability and sports morality,and can better realize the interdisciplinary learning in sports and health.Students can have better embodied experience and gain embodied perception in the process,which can give full play to students’ creativity and initiative and promote the formation of students’ good cognition.(5)When adopting the game teaching method to teach basketball,we should effectively combine the embodied cognition theory with it,design real,interesting and complex game situations,and strengthen students’ physical and mental perception and thinking,which can not only achieve the teaching effect of "promoting learning and training through competition",but also help improve students’ cognitive experience in the teaching competition,and realize the integration of common quality and professional quality.To achieve sports people.Research suggestions:(1)Pay attention to the embodied design of the game teaching method in basketball teaching,and embody the teaching concept of "student-centered".We should focus on designing the competition environment with more personal experience,and constantly generate new cognitive experience in the process of experience,so as to lay a good foundation for lifelong sports thought.(2)Create a teaching environment with situational experience to promote multidimensional generation of students’ basketball skills,physical ability,ability and emotion.The basketball teaching content is dealt with situational,with the help of body experience and perception,the teaching content is gradually internalized into the embodied cognitive process of students’ bodies.From the concept of the game,the game signal recognition and other marginal concepts,to learn the core skills and tactics and thinking strategy of the game and other core content.(3)The evaluation of embodied basketball teaching should pay more attention to the process evaluation of students.It should adopt the combination of holistic evaluation and process evaluation.Besides paying attention to students’ skills and physical quality,it should also pay attention to the cultivation of sports morality and healthy exercise habits.(4)The teaching design under embodied cognition in the future should adhere to the principle of student-centered and realistic,and should focus on designing more embodied experience and more interesting situations,so that students are willing to learn and constantly generate new cognitive experience during the experience process.
