Law is a tool of class rule,an important part of the human superstructure,and legal awareness is one of the necessary qualities of modern citizens.With the deepening of educational reform,the Ministry of Education promulgated the new "General High School History Curriculum Standards" and unified high school history textbooks in 2017 and 2019.Compared with the curriculum standards and middle school history textbooks,it emphasizes the cultivation of awareness of the rule of law in the basic concept section,and adds many special historical contents such as legal history to the content.History is one of the humanities subjects in the high school curriculum system,and it should undertake part of the legal education.In addition,the teaching of legal history is also a high-frequency examination point for the cultivation of core literacy and examination propositions,under this circumstance,it is very necessary to study the legal history content and teaching of the current unified textbook.Compared with the old version of the textbook,the unified version of the high school history textbook adds a lot of content on ancient Chinese legal history,and sets up a separate unit of "law and education".The legal history content of textbooks can generally present a relatively complete framework of legal history disciplines,and also show the characteristics of typicality of content selection,prominence of legislative activities,dispersion and overlap of content distribution,and rationality of textbook structure.As far as the current situation of legal history teaching in high school history teaching is concerned,the teaching basically meets the requirements of curriculum standards,but there are also situations where students’ legal history knowledge is not systematic and teachers’teaching methods are relatively single,etc.,for which teachers should pay attention to the implementation of basic legal history knowledge,strengthen students’ guidance on legal history learning methods,update legal history teaching methods,infiltrate legal concepts in legal history teaching,and pay attention to distinguishing between "law" and"indoctrination" in legal history teaching.To promote students’ understanding and grasp of legal history.
