As the starting link of classroom teaching,the introduction of new courses plays an important role in stimulating students’ interest in learning and creating a classroom atmosphere.In the "Curriculum Standards for Ethics and Rule of Law in Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)",it is proposed that the core competencies to be cultivated in the ethics and rule of law curriculum are political identity,moral accomplishment,rule of law concept,sound personality and sense of responsibility,and clarifies the direction for teachers to cultivate students’ core competencies in the teaching of ethics and rule of law.Therefore,the teaching of the new course on ethics and rule of law in junior high school should be guided by core literacy.The introduction of new courses is the first link in the teaching of ethics and rule of law in junior high schools,and cultivating students’ core competencies in this link is more conducive to students’ all-round development.Based on the relevant theoretical basis of core literacy,according to the psychological characteristics and learning behavior habits of junior high school students,this study uses literature research method,survey research method,classroom observation method and other research methods to investigate and study the current situation of the introduction of new courses on ethics and rule of law in junior high school,and puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.Firstly,the current situation of the introduction of new courses on ethics and rule of law in junior high schools was investigated,and this study took the first and second year students of a middle school in Nanning and a middle school in Guilin as the research objects,and explored the implementation of the new curriculum by teachers of ethics and rule of law in junior high schools through questionnaires and interviews.Through investigation and analysis,it is found that the current introduction of new courses on ethics and rule of law in junior high schools based on core competencies has the following problems: the content of new courses is not designed around core competencies,the introduction of new courses is not reasonably implemented,and the introduction of new courses is not carefully evaluated.In addition,this study takes core literacy as the theoretical support,and puts forward suggestions for implementing the introduction of new courses from three aspects: awareness,ability and evaluation based on the design principles of the introduction of new courses on ethics and rule of law in junior high schools: 1.Enhance the awareness of literacy,wholeness,and innovation based on core competencies for the introduction of new courses;2.Improve the ability to introduce new courses based on core competencies and design and implement them;Third,build a diversified and open evaluation system for new courses pointing to core literacy.Finally,this study explores the use of new curriculum introduction methods under core literacy through specific teaching cases of new curriculum introduction,hoping to provide reference for junior high school ethics and rule of law teachers.
