Social Work Intervenes In The Study Of The Cultivation Of Volunteer Service Organizations

After continuous development,the current volunteer service has gradually become an important force in China’s grassroots governance progress,and plays a positive role in promoting social harmony and progress,and promoting the truth,goodness and beauty of mankind.As an effective channel to participate in grassroots community governance and community construction,promoting the cultivation of local volunteer service organizations can fully stimulate the vitality of residents on the one hand,and enhance community identity and community cohesion on the other hand,and establish a foundation for building a community and promoting community progress.Due to the limitations of various practical factors,despite the support of policies and social forces,it is not easy to promote the construction of volunteer service organizations in communities,especially rural communities,and ensure their sustainability,and the academic community is mainly focused on specific groups of people,specific organizations,and mainly to solve local specific problems,while in rural communities through the cultivation and construction of volunteer service organizations to achieve community construction and community progress research is still in its infancy.To promote the construction of locally based and effective volunteer service organizations,we need the thinking and participation of all parties.We followed a social work and volunteer service association to purchase a project in Village C in S City,Guangdong Province to carry out professional practice as a trainee social worker.In this study,village C and all its villagers were the research object,and through the participation observation method and literature research method,we first investigated the current situation of village C and learned that village C actually has the following problems: rich in cultural resources but lacking in conservation;the weakening of villagers’ sense of cultural identity and community cohesion;There are deficiencies in existing community volunteering represented by neighborhood mutual aid,and so on.After that,based on the project vision,internal and external resources of the community,and the specific problems and needs of the community,it was determined that Village C had the need to cultivate local volunteer service organizations.In this regard,social workers analyze the necessity and feasibility of intervening in the cultivation of rural volunteer service organizations in advance,establish overall goals and specific objectives,and formulate intervention plans accordingly.After the social workers settle in,first take the youth group and the women’s group as the breakthrough point,and win the understanding and support of the villagers for the social workers through a series of actions,so that the social workers can integrate into the daily social life of village C,and lay the foundation for the subsequent cultivation of volunteer service organizations.After that,through policy publicity,activity organization and other means,intervene in the cultivation of local volunteer service organizations,and attract more villagers to join as volunteers while promoting the construction of volunteer service organizations;Finally,it will work with all parties to provide villagers with various services and meet their needs,while preserving and promoting community cultural resources,enriching the spiritual and cultural life of villagers,establishing villagers’ identity with local culture,and helping to establish a community and achieve community progress.Through a series of service practices,this study proves that by intervening in the cultivation of volunteer service organizations,the enthusiasm of villagers can be effectively mobilized,and certain results have been achieved in the cultivation of volunteer service organizations,the exploration and promotion of cultural resources,the formation of community cultural identity,and the establishment of community communities.However,ensuring that volunteer organizations can continue to be effective not only takes time,but also faces some constraints and challenges.Based on this,the author believes that a series of safeguard mechanisms for social workers and volunteer service organizations should be established around the goal of nurturing volunteer service organizations,and through the participation of all parties,ensure that volunteer service organizations can provide continuous and effective services and jointly promote community progress.
