| With the development of educational informatization and the continuous promotion of teaching reform,the country vigorously promotes the digital strategic action of higher education to achieve high-quality innovative development of higher education.The Digital transformation of education has accelerated the opening,sharing and application of high-quality educational resources.For example,the national higher education intelligent education platform has gathered27000 high-quality courses,with more than 18 billion visits to the platform;The cumulative number of downloads and installations of MOOC mobile devices in Chinese universities has reached 89.6214 million,and the number of open courses taught on the platform has reached60200.These numbers reflect people’s deep thinking and urgent need to improve the quality of online learning.However,with the rapid development of online learning,a series of problems such as lack of emotional communication,high dropout rate,low completion rate,and low engagement have gradually emerged.Improving the quality of online learning for college students has become a top priority in the field of higher education.However,as an important indicator of measuring the quality of online learning,online learning investment has become a research hotspot in the field of higher education.This study focuses on the influencing factors and improvement strategies of online learning engagement.What are the connotations and components of online learning engagement? What are the influencing factors of online learning investment? What are the key strategies for increasing investment in online learning? Is the strategy to increase investment in online learning effective? Conduct research on several major issues,with the aim of providing reference for related research on enhancing college students’ online learning engagement and improving teaching quality.In terms of research methods,this study adopts a literature review method to analyze the research background,current research status,connotation,and constituent elements of online learning engagement;Analyze the main factors that affect college students’ online learning engagement through questionnaire survey method,and demonstrate the correlation between each influencing factor based on data statistical analysis results;On this basis,strategies are proposed to enhance the online learning engagement of college students,and the strategies are applied to the online course “Informationization Teaching Methods and Technologies” for practice;Finally,the effectiveness of the strategy was tested through the analysis of course platform data,survey questionnaire data,and student interview results.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:Firstly,the main factors affecting college students’ online learning engagement include student and teacher support,course design,social interaction,and perceived usefulness;Among them,the “student” dimension includes self-efficacy and psychological needs;The dimension of“teacher support” includes factors such as autonomous support and emotional support;The dimension of “course design” includes factors such as goal design,content design,activity design,evaluation design,course platform,and course support services;The dimension of“social interaction” includes factors such as teacher-student interaction and peer interaction;The dimension of ‘perceived usefulness’ includes factors such as learning content and learning support services.Secondly,there are three main strategies to enhance the online learning investment of college students,namely teacher support strategy,course design strategy,and teaching interaction strategy.Among them,teacher support strategies significantly enhance students’ behavioral and cognitive engagement;The curriculum design strategy mainly enhances students’ cognitive engagement,behavioral engagement,and social interaction engagement;The teaching interaction strategy effectively enhances students’ behavioral,cognitive,and emotional engagement.This study conducted a quantitative analysis of course platform data,questionnaire survey data,and student interview data from three semesters to test the effectiveness of online learning engagement enhancement strategies.It can provide useful reference for teaching practice and research to enhance college students’ online learning engagement and improve the quality of online learning.However,there are still some shortcomings in the research: firstly,the sample size of the study is limited,and data mining is not deep enough;Secondly,due to the limitations of research time,experience,and writing space,the strategy proposed in this study was only applied and practiced in a provincial-level first-class course,and the scope of application was not extensive enough.The generalizability and universality of the strategy need to be further improved. |
