This study starts from enhancing the learning motivation of secondary vocational students, constructs a problem-inspired teaching model and applies it to the "C language programming"course in secondary vocational schools. The problem-inspired teaching mode is to classify knowledge, and then divide the problems into three types:conceptual problems, application problems and inquiry-based problems based on the classification of knowledge, and finally select the appropriate teaching according to the characteristics of different types of problems.method of teaching. This study addresses the following three questions:1.what is the current situation of secondary school students’ motivation in learning Programming?2.does the use of problem-based teaching model in C Programming help enhance secondary school students’ motivation?3.what should be noted when using problem-based teaching model in C Programming in secondary school? The study includes:in the first part, discovering the problem of secondary school students’lack of motivation and determining the basic content of the chosen topic to be elaborated. In the second part,to identify the relevant concepts and theoretical foundations through reading the literature,to select the research object and to determine the research ideas and research methods. In the third part, the problem-inspired teaching model is constructed on the basis of sorting out the existing similar teaching models. In the fourth part, practical classroom teaching activities are carried out using the problem-inspired teaching model, and specific research tools such as questionnaires, test papers and interviews are used to understand and grasp the effectiveness of the application of problem-inspired teaching. In the fifth part, the above research is summarised and suggestions for using the problem-inspired teaching model in the secondary-level C Programming course are put forward.Conclusion:1.The use of the problem-based teaching mode in the C Programming course is conducive to enhancing the learning motivation of secondary school students.2.The use of the problem-based teaching mode in the C Programming course is conducive to improving the learning performance of secondary school students. The research suggests that:1.teachers should set the appropriate problems according to the teaching content;2.teachers should choose the appropriate teaching methods flexibly according to the characteristics of each kind of problems;3.teachers should balance the leading role of teachers in teaching and the main position of students. The innovations of this paper include:First, this study builds a problem-inspired teaching model and applies it to the C Programming course in secondary schools from the perspective of enhancing secondary students’ motivation to learn.Secondly, the problem-inspired teaching model is based on the classification of knowledge in the C Programming course and then the classification of problems, and then the selection of appropriate teaching methods according to the characteristics of various types of problems,in order to achieve the purpose of optimising the teaching effect and enhancing students’ learning motivation.
