Approaches to learning refers to learning accomplishment,which is the necessary personality and character for students to adapt to lifelong learning and future development.The evaluation of approaches to learning is a kind of "evaluation to promote learning" which pays attention to the students’ learning process.Teaching students to learn is an important pursuit of contemporary education,and its ultimate orientation is to form positive approaches to learning for individuals.As the seventh grade is a special stage of learning progress,the depth,breadth and difficulty of mathematics learning are more advanced than before.At this time,students need mathematical approaches to learning to cope with the changes brought by the change of learning period.Therefore this study takes seventh grade students as the research object,combines quantitative research with qualitative research,and mainly uses literature research method,investigation method and statistical analysis method to try to construct the evaluation index system of seventh grade students’ mathematical approaches to learning.In order to solve the research problems proposed,the research first follows the principle of index construction,and through literature analysis and interview survey,the evaluation index system of seventh grade students’ mathematical approaches to learning is preliminarily constructed.Then the evaluation index system was revised and improved by two rounds of Delphi method.The evaluation index system consists of four first-level indexes,namely,"quality of mathematics learning motivation","quality of mathematics learning ability","quality of mathematics metacognition" and "quality of mathematics learning will".The dimension of "quality of mathematics learning motivation" has two second-level indexes,namely "learning motivation" and "learning attitude".Under the dimension of "quality of mathematics learning ability",there are three secondary indexes:"ability to use learning strategies","ability to use thought methods" and "ability to conduct scientific inquiry";under the dimension of "quality of mathematics metacognitive quality",there are three secondary indexes:"metacognitive knowledge","metacognitive experience" and "metacognitive monitoring".Under the dimension of "quality of will to learn mathematics",there are three secondary indexes:"self-control of learning","consciousness of learning" and "persistence of learning".Then,using analytic hierarchy process,the weight coefficient of each index is calculated.The weight coefficients of the four first-level indexes were 0.1586,0.1928,0.4760 and 0.1726,respectively,and their importance was ranked as the quality of mathematical metacognition,quality of mathematical learning ability,quality of mathematical learning will and quality of mathematical learning motivation.The weight coefficient values of 11 secondary indexes in descending order are:metacognitive monitoring(0.3047),metacognitive knowledge(0.1032),scientific inquiry ability(0.0905),learning attitude(0.0826),learning motivation(0.0760),learning persistence(0.0701),metacognitive experience(0.0681),Learning self-control(0.0598),application ability of thought methods(0.0578),application ability of learning strategies(0.0445),and learning consciousness(0.0427).Finally,according to the specific observation points of each secondary index in the revised evaluation index system in the seventh grade mathematics learning,the test scale was compiled.First,100 seventh grade students in Huai’an City of Jiangsu Province were pre-surveyed,and the test scale items were adjusted according to the data obtained from the pre-survey,and then 400 seventh grade students in Suzhou City were formally investigated.The results of reliability analysis and confirmatory factor analysis show that the test scale has good internal consistency and convergence validity.Based on the results of the research and descriptive statistical analysis,this paper puts forward several suggestions on how to improve the mathematics learning quality of seventh grade students:first,carefully create teaching links,pay attention to the mutual promotion of internal motivation and external motivation;The second is to accurately position the role of teachers,intentionally provide an exploration platform,and pay attention to the guidance and communication of students;Third,teaching metacognitive knowledge systematically,making good use of various evaluation methods and focusing on reflective training;Fourth,strengthen supervision and inspection after class,pay attention to individual learning status,pay attention to the communication between teachers and students.
