The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out: "It is necessary to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinesestyle modernization." Chinese-style modernization is a modernization in which man and nature live in harmony.The "Curriculum Standards" and "Interpretation of Curriculum Standards"(2017edition revised in 2020)pointed out: "High school ideological and political courses should guide students to understand the process of building socialist ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics in the new era,grasp the laws of ecological civilization practice,and cultivate students who practice public morality." High school students are the reserve army for the construction of ecological civilization in the new era,and learning Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization is an inevitable requirement for cultivating high school students’ ecological civilization literacy and building a beautiful China.Based on the Marxist theory of comprehensive human development,the principles of ideological and political education development and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on the construction of ecological civilization,the paper analyzes the necessity of integration from the aspects of the meaning of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way,the important content of "building virtue and cultivating people" in high school ideological and political courses,and the inevitable requirements for cultivating the ecological civilization literacy of high school students.The survey found that most students’ awareness of ecological civilization has been enhanced compared with before,but their grasp and conscious practice of ecological civilization thinking need to be strengthened.At the teacher level,Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization has gradually reached a consensus on integrating it into classroom teaching,but there are still problems in teaching,such as fragmentation of classroom teaching content,simplification of teaching methods,and simplification of teaching evaluation.The reason is that teachers’ own ecological civilization teaching literacy needs to be improved,teachers’ teaching content of ecological civilization needs to be systematically integrated,teaching method innovation is insufficient,and teaching evaluation mechanism needs to be improved.Based on the problems and reasons,the integration strategy is proposed to fundamentally improve the teaching ability and literacy of teachers’ ecological civilization.In teaching,we should adhere to the principle of unifying value and knowledge,indoctrination and inspiration,and theory and practice.Clarify the convergence between Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and the content of high school ideological and political textbooks,tap teaching resources for ecological civilization thinking,set teaching goals according to curriculum standards,innovate teaching methods,and carry out developmental teaching evaluation;Through specific teaching cases,this paper analyzes and demonstrates the implementation path of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization into the ideological and political courses of high schools.In the future,with the needs of practice,the content of ecological civilization education in high school ideological and political courses will be richer,and the teaching methods will be more diverse,and it is believed that ecological civilization education will be more effective.
