| Paradox accompanies human life and reveals the person and the condition of his life.Paradox is of great significance to education and life.It exists in education and life in diversified forms such as disputes,absurdities and paradoxes,giving people enlightenment and thinking,enabling them to face the finitude and vulnerability of people in a self-awakening and rational way,and realizing reconciliation with paradox.Paradox is unconquerable and ubiquitous,and attempts to overcome them through plans to control the world lead to a proliferation of paradox.This means that the correct attitude and understanding of paradox can enable the subject to think about education and life in a rational,prudent and complete way,bravely face the complexity,absurdity,contingency and risk of education and life,and realize the transformation of individual thinking mode and spirit.As an important feature of human life,the most important manifestation of paradoxical consciousness exists in tragedy.The initial tragedy teaches individuals to feel the impermanence of fate and their own vulnerability,thus limiting the mind’s psychological disease,which are arrogant and domineering,and achieve the purpose of the spiritual enlightenment of godliness and the promotion of lofty spirit.Modern tragedy gradually weakened the sacred element and moved towards the spiritual and psychological struggle of human,expressed the inner struggle of human in the secular world,and realized the purification of emotion in a kind of justice principle that guilt must be investigated.With the development and manifestation of the value of rationality and freedom,other literary classics have replaced tragedy as an important form of paradoxical research.Educational paradoxical novels,such as Rousseau’s Emile and Dickens’s Hard Times,are emerging.Educational paradox is the contradictory characteristics of educational activities,which remind people to seriously consider paradox and its value in order to treat education in a correct way.The imagination of educational paradox can cultivate theoretical self-awareness and reveal the complexity of practice.The alienation of educational paradox is manifested in the following forms:the loss of "human" in educational thought;the manipulation of technique in educational practice;the paradox between teachers’authority and children’s happiness.The most important way to eliminate educational paradox in contemporary education is the blind pursuit of excellence,which shifts the value of education to the formation of the subject of excellent performance.Thus,education eventually becomes a refined technique of control.Education should care about paradox,which is mainly based on the complex and multifactorial relationship between human nature and education,as well as our conscious awareness of the existence of educational risks.Paradox calls for an educational consciousness of love and tolerance,maintaining a sensitivity to the integrity of life.Education is the pursuit of integrity,the rational cultivation of human inner life,mind and soul.For this reason,education needs to be interrupted to give students space for contemplation to develop critical and creative thinking.At the same time,school education needs to set up a curriculum that reflects the integrity of life,and build a platform and opportunity to live together with others.In addition,education should be vigilant against the negative meaning of paradox,refine students’ spiritual world through aesthetic cultivation,guide them to find the beauty in life,and then have faith in a better life,love life. |
