As a college staff with the dual identity of teachers and cadres,counselors play an indispensable role in the sustained and healthy development of higher education,organizing and guiding the ideological and political education,daily study and life of college students.The personal growth and development of students,the all-round development of universities and the cause of socialist cultural construction are closely related to instructors.As the country and universities pay more attention to the construction of the counselor team,experts and scholars begin to study and discuss the construction of the counselor team.As an important part of our higher education,private colleges and universities,like public universities,are also growing rapidly.Meanwhile,private colleges and universities also shoulder the heavy responsibility of cultivating talents of high-level socialist construction.Due to the nature and particularity of private colleges and universities,higher requirements are put forward for counselors’ abilities.This makes the professional construction of counselors particularly outstanding.In 2017,the Regulations on the Construction of the Counselor Team in Ordinary Universities greatly improved the recognition of the counselor profession in the society,advocated the professionalization of the counselor work,and provided a solid guarantee for the construction and professional development of the counselor team.How to implement these measures and promote the professional development of counselors in private colleges and universities has become a new topic to be solved urgently by the organizers of private colleges and universities.Taking Yunnan Industry and Commerce University as an example,this study studied the factors affecting the professionalization of guidance in private colleges and universities from different aspects through questionnaire survey,interview and literature.Based on the comparative theory and the hierarchy of needs theory and other relevant knowledge,this study deeply analyzed the reasons and put forward the measures for the professionalization of guidance counselors in private colleges and universities in China.This study is divided into the following seven parts.The first part: introduction,mainly expounds the background and significance of this thesis,as well as the research ideas and methods,and summarizes the relevant research status at home and abroad.The second part: core concepts and theoretical basis,mainly from the basic connotation and characteristics of the professionalization of instructors in private colleges and universities expounds the core concepts of professionalization of instructors in private colleges and universities,and introduces and explains the theoretical basis of the research on professionalization of instructors in private colleges and universities,laying a theoretical foundation for the research of this thesis.The third part: the analysis of the current situation of the professional development of the counselors in Yunnan Institute of Business and Industry,mainly introduces the basic situation of the counselors in the school,from the aspects of education background,professional title,age,stability of the team and the satisfaction of the counselors themselves.The fourth part:the analysis of the problems and causes of the professionalization development of counselors in Yunnan Institute of Business and Industry,mainly from the level of counselors themselves,the school and the society to analyze and study the problems and causes of professionalization of counselors in private universities.The sixth part: the countermeasures and suggestions on improving the professionalization development of private college counselors,which mainly put forward specific suggestions on professionalization development of private college counselors from the aspects of improving cognition,mechanism construction,and improving the comprehensive quality of counselors.The seventh part: conclusion and prospect.Through the above research,it is not difficult to find that there are considerable difficulties in the professional development of counselors in private colleges and universities,which are manifested in the following aspects: the proportion of high education and high professional titles in the team is low,the personnel are relatively unstable,the professional background is unscientific,the continuing education and ability training are not up to expectations,and the mechanism is not perfect.However,we should also be soberly aware that these difficulties and problems are also problems in the development of private colleges and universities.Therefore,how to find effective solutions and methods is an urgent task for the organizers of private colleges and universities.Under the new situation that higher education is becoming more popular,the organizers of private colleges and universities should soberly realize that the task of building a team of counselors is more urgent and arduous.They should take advantage of the national reform of higher education to constantly explore and adapt to the new requirements of running schools,adhere to the principle of cultivating morality,cultivating talents for the country and the party Only by making breakthroughs in the improvement of governance level and social service ability can we fundamentally solve the problem of the professional development of counselors and promote the development of school education.
