Research On Influencing Factors Of Problematic Mobile Social Media Use From The Perspective Of Social Comparison

With the flying progress of media technology,the widespread dissemination of mobile devices,and the wide coverage of unlimited networks have made the channels that people use social networks more diverse and convenient,making mobile social networks an integral part of modern life and work.At the same time,people’s social interactions are gradually expanding from offline to online,and the phenomenon that real-world communication is violated by online interactions is gradually appearing,causing various social psychological problems.For example,social anxiety.Social comparison is a universal psycho social phenomenon that cannot be avoided in human communication and interaction.Previously,learned man have paid closed attention to more offline social comparison and social anxiety variables,but times are constantly changing and similar research subjects may have different findings when studied in different contexts.Meanwhile,research on ’problematic mobile social media use’ is still in its infancy.This paper therefore pay more attention to the influence of online social comparison on problematic mobile social media use in the context of new media and times,and the role of social anxiety in mediating this.This study focuses on the influence of social comparison psychology on individuals’ problematic mobile social media use behavior,using the SSO model(Stress-Burden-Outcome)as the research model and introducing social anxiety to construct a mediating model of online social comparison and problematic mobile social media use.This paper compares the current status of research on social comparison,social anxiety and problematic mobile social media use in the fields of psychology and health medicine,and establishes the specific concepts,dimensions and measurement indicators of the research variables.Using the ideas and methods of empirical research,653 subjects from the authoritative Social Comparison Scale,Social Anxiety Scale,and Problematic Mobile Social Media Use Scale were selected for the study.The data were processed using the SPSS data analysis tool,and the data were tested for reliability,variance,normality,correlation and regression analysis.This paper finds that problematic mobile social media use by individuals can be generated by a combination of psychological aspects and external circumstances;that demographically based problems with problematic mobile social media use cannot be ignored;that new findings between variables: the social comparison factors of social anxiety for individuals remain unchanged;that ’stress’ can be a direct cause of Strain" can be a direct result of "stress";"burden" is a deeper endogenous cause of "stress" producing "strain".
