| Along with the development of digital economy,China’s labor force employment market is undergoing a profound change.As a kind of technological progress,the digital economy brings a new form of economic development,and its impactful influence on employment cannot be ignored.From the perspective of China’s current digital economy development stage,like every technological revolution in the past,although the digital economy will create new social values in the process of development,it will also have a relatively large impact on labor force employment,including the technical unemployment caused by the substitution effect of the digital economy,the imbalance between supply and demand for different skill groups,which aggravates the structural contradiction in employment,and the sudden decrease in employment scale.These employment problems will not only affect workers,but will also have a negative impact on the employment situation.These employment problems will not only adversely affect individual workers,but also the whole employment market and the stability of the country.Therefore,the government should put itself in the right position and strengthen the governance of the labor market in order to better utilize the positive impact of the digital economy and try to mitigate its destructive effects.This paper investigates the creative and impacting effects of digital economy on labor force employment,explores the intrinsic mechanism of digital economy development affecting the scale and structure of labor force employment in China through current situation analysis,verifies it through empirical analysis,and finally proposes countermeasures to address the current problems.The results show that: First,the development of digital economy will have a "U-shaped" impact on the employment scale of labor force,which will reduce the employment scale in the current stage and expand the employment scale in the maturity of digital economy.for the employment structure,the development of digital economy will increase the demand for high-skilled workers and decrease the demand for middle and low-skilled workers,and this "unipolar" employment skill structure will easily lead to the imbalance of supply and demand for workers with different skills and deepen the structural contradiction of employment.Second,the development of the digital economy in one region also has an important impact on the scale and structure of employment in the surrounding areas,i.e.,there is an obvious spatial spillover characteristic.Third,there is significant regional heterogeneity in the impact of the digital economy on the scale and structure of employment.Based on the above findings,in order to better exploit the positive impact of the digital economy on the labor market and weaken its negative impact,it is necessary to promote collaborative governance between the government and society to reasonably control structural unemployment;strengthen employment training to enhance workers’ employment and job-selection abilities;and propose employment development strategies with adaptability according to local conditions. |
