| The basis for people’s livelihoods and development is employment.A key pillar of the Chinese route to modernization is obtaining more prospective and high-quality employment.The 14 th Five Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development’s employment promotion strategy places a strong emphasis on the necessity of adhering to the employment-oriented economic development trend and consistently enhancing employment capacity.There is a high need for jobs in China due to its big population.The manpower shortage in agriculture is also getting worse at the same time.Additionally,college graduates are under more and more pressure to find employment.Therefore,the primary goal for China’s economic development is identifying new areas for employment growth and reducing the current employment strain.At the moment,China’s economic growth is being strongly supported by the digital economy.The traditional job structure has transformed as a result of the ongoing development of cutting-edge scientific technologies including 5G,Io T,artificial intelligence,blockchain,cloud computing,and big data.The fact that there are more employees working in the digital economy every year shows how important it is to research how the digital economy affects employment.This paper’s primary body of research is divided into six sections: First,it goes into detail about the research context and importance of the digital economy on employment.Then,it examines how the growth of the digital economy has affected employment in China.Finally,it sorts and comments on both domestic and foreign literature,highlighting the theoretical and practical significance of this study.It also elaborates on the article’s novelty and flaws while further defining the study concepts and methodology used.Second,the fundamental definitions of the terms "digital economy" and "employment" as well as their theoretical underpinnings have been provided.Based on this,the connection between the digital economy and employment has been examined,and its mechanism of influence has been developed.Thirdly,it gauges how far along China’s digital economy is.This article will examine digital economy measuring techniques using information from various cities and provinces.A complete measurement method for regional data will be devised based on provincial and city data,and regional data will subsequently be quantified.In order to prepare for further data processing,a thorough examination of national,provincial,and regional data will be done based on this.Additionally,the development status of China’s digital economy will be examined.Fourthly,it gauges China’s degree of job growth.From a global,interprovincial,and interregional perspective,this chapter primarily assesses the state of total employment and employment structure,taking into account changes in employment industry structure.Fifth,the effect of China’s developing digital economy on employment was examined empirically.First,the explanatory variable,the dependent variable,and the core and control variables to be used in this work were chosen based on prior research experience.From a global,interprovincial,and interregional perspective,this chapter primarily assesses the state of total employment and employment structure,taking into account changes in employment industry structure.Fifth,the effect of China’s developing digital economy on employment was examined empirically.First,the explanatory variable,the dependent variable,and the core and control variables to be used in this work were chosen based on prior research experience.The primary takeaway from this essay is that,firstly,based on the country’s general employment status,China’s employment growth rate has been gradually slowing in recent years.There is a comparatively constant equilibrium between digitization and the job market in China.The impact of digitization on the overall job market is negative,and as digitization levels increase,there will be a certain amount of deterioration in the labor market.The level of the digital economy will increase by 1% for every 1% decline in total employment in China.The impact of wages and research and technology on employment is 1.373 among the control variables that influence the total volume of employment,and science and technology significantly boost employment.Second,from the perspective of China’s employment structure,the development of the digital economy has a positive impact on tertiary industry employment while having a negative impact on secondary industry employment;In terms of employment skill structure,the development of the digital economy has a positive impact on employment skill structure,and wage and technology levels have a positive promoting effect on China’s employment skill structure.First,from a research viewpoint,this study develops a panel data model on the employment effect of the digital economy and performs empirical research and result analysis on the employment effect of the digital economy.Second,this article calculates the degree of development of the digital economy in various provinces and regions.Thirdly,Matlab and Stata15.0 were utilized to assess them in terms of research tools. |
