| The development of the sports industry has become a key issue of concern in recent years.It has become a global industry and as a sunrise industry of the 21 st century,the development of the sports industry can not only enhance the comprehensive strength of a country but also improve the living standards of the people.Since the reform and opening-up,China’s economic strength has continuously improved,and the sports industry has also accelerated its development and is currently in good condition.However,compared to other western developed countries,there is still a relatively large gap.Therefore,while steadily promoting the development of the sports industry,it is necessary to pay attention to the regional differences and influencing factors of the interprovincial sports industry development,and coordinate the development of the economy in various regions to promote the coordinated development of the sports industry between regions.China attaches great importance to the development of the sports industry and has elevated it to a major national strategy,such as the "Outline of Building a Strong Sports Nation" and the "14th Five-Year Plan for Sports Development",which play a guiding role in the development of the sports industry.This paper takes the 31 provinces(municipalities,districts)of China as its research object,and based on the research results of previous scholars,constructs an evaluation index system from the aspects of stability,coordination,innovation,efficiency,and sustainable development.First,the coefficient of variation method is used to measure the weight of each index,and the comprehensive development index of the sports industry for each province(city,district)is obtained.Then,using exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA),the spatial correlation and clustering characteristics of the comprehensive development index of the sports industry are analyzed.Then,combined with the Moran scatter plot and LISA cluster map,the clustering of the comprehensive development index of the sports industry is subjected to a local correlation analysis.Finally,the main influencing factors of the comprehensive development index of the sports industry in China are analyzed using the principal component regression model.This enriches the theoretical research system of China’s sports industry and promotes the overall development level of the sports industry in each province(city,district).Based on the calculation and analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)There is a significant difference in the comprehensive development index of the sports industry among the provinces and cities of China.Specifically,the eastern coastal areas are higher while the western regions are lower,and the trend gradually decreases from east to west.The difference in the regional economic environment causes the difference in the comprehensive development index of the sports industry.For the economically developed eastern coastal areas,the comprehensive development index of the sports industry is higher.However,for the relatively backward western regions,it’s relatively lower,and the regional economic environment also inhibits the development of the sports industry.(2)Using exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA)to analyze the spatial differences of the comprehensive development index of the sports industry in China,the results show that the global Moran index is positive,and all have passed the significance level 0.05 test,indicating that the spatial similarity values exhibit spatial clustering rather than random distribution.Although there is some region aggregation for the comprehensive development index of the sports industry in China,most of it is not significant.The H-H aggregation type area is mainly distributed in the economically developed and strong development areas of the eastern coastal region,while the L-L aggregation type area is distributed in the relatively backward northwest inland regions.The agglomeration effect of areas with high comprehensive development index of the sports industry in the eastern coastal areas is also limited and has not yet radiated to the surrounding areas.(3)Through principal component regression analysis,the main influencing factors of the comprehensive development index of the sports industry are summarized into four aspects: economic development,government behavior,industry support,and industrial foundation.Overall,the four influencing factors have a significant positive correlation with the comprehensive development index of the sports industry,and their influence degree decreases in turn.Among them,the economic development factor has the greatest impact,followed by the industrial foundation,government behavior,and industry support factors.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper proposes the following suggestions: accelerating regional economic development and enhancing people’s awareness of sports;strengthening the construction of sports talents and increasing the level of capital investment;enhancing the industry support system and promoting internal innovation within the industry;playing a leading role of the government,guaranteeing the development of the industry environment;optimizing the sports industry structure and strengthening the integration of related industries. |
