The employment pressure of students in vocational colleges refers to their negative emotional experience such as nervousness, anxiety, and fear of the process and results of employment.Employment pressure has a state nature, does not exist forever, arises with the emergence of employment problems, and disappears with the resolution of employment problems. At present, there is a long-standing prejudice in society that higher vocational education is equivalent to "second-rate education",coupled with the lack of construction of vocational colleges themselves, the lack of competitive advantage of students in the job market has intensified, and the employment pressure has further increased.Based on this, this study focuses on the employment pressure of the student group of vocational colleges, taking D Vocational College in H Province as an example,it conducts a survey of its students, randomly distributes 240 questionnaires and collects 228 valid questionnaires, and the survey results show that 74.56% of the college students surveyed by D Vocational College are in a high-pressure state. In order to further clarify the specific performance, causes and actual needs of the employment pressure of D vocational college students, nearly 40 in-depth interviews were carried out online according to the contact information voluntarily left on the questionnaire, which clarified the specific manifestations of D vocational college students’ employment pressure such as heavy depression, irritability and anxiety, suffering from gains and losses, missed opportunities, passive waiting, delay, nervousness, fear, cringe, frustration and pessimism. Its internal deep-seated reasons include unclear self-awareness,blind employment tendency, insufficient decision-making ability, poor judgment of the situation, lack of employment education, poor initiative in choosing a job, inferiority complex, biased perspective, low social recognition, and weak social support. In order to help D vocational college students reduce their employment pressure, seven college students who meet the conditions for returning to school and live on campus under the epidemic are willing to accept services and become team members, and six group services are designed and carried out in response to their needs such as enhancing self-awareness,clarifying employment direction, improving decision-making ability, grasping employment opportunities, improving employment education, improving career initiative, clarifying their own advantages, enhancing employment confidence, improving social support networks, and smoothing employment channels. In the end,it alleviated the employment pressure of students in vocational colleges and universities, and played a positive role in helping them to find employment smoothly. The results showed that after the intervention of group service, the average score of employment pressure of group members decreased from 89.3 points to66.1 points, and decreased from high psychological pressure to mild psychological pressure, which verified the effectiveness of group work in alleviating the employment pressure of vocational college students. Finally, based on the results of this study, relevant suggestions are put forward to alleviate the employment pressure of vocational college students.
