With the continuous development of high technology, China’s population continues to expand, employment in the previous step by step can not meet our needs. In order to ease the pressure of employment, in order to promote the development of the country, we need a variety of entrepreneurial talent. So far, the entrepreneurial success rate of our country higher vocational college students is not high, the lack of confidence, will not strong, the ability to resist frustration, the reason is that higher vocational students to enhance their entrepreneurial ability. Therefore, the research on the entrepreneurial capacity of higher vocational students promoted above, taking Tianjin Vocational institute, School of eye optometry engineering, for example, through to the problems existing in the higher vocational students’ entrepreneurship and causes were analyzed, and then draw a series of improvement measures for entrepreneurship education in higher vocational colleges plays a very good reference. To provide theoretical reference to the views in this paper, the significance is mainly reflected in two aspects:first, it enriches the higher vocational college students’ entrepreneurial theory; second, it provides theoretical references for Chinese higher vocational students undertaking and it provides theoretical basis for Tianjin Vocational institute, School of eye optometry engineering, student entrepreneurship.In this paper, combined with the research status of domestic and foreign universities in the aspect of promoting students entrepreneurial capacity, and to Tianjin Vocational institute, School of eye optometry engineering, students as the research object, the entrepreneurial ability carries on the questionnaire survey. Through the literature to discuss the connotation and characteristics of entrepreneurial ability, the components of college students’ entrepreneurial ability, the influencing factors of vocational students’ entrepreneurial success, the particularity of higher vocational students entrepreneurial ability and related theory knowledge, analyzing the problems existing in the higher vocational students entrepreneurial ability and its reasons, such as heredity, family, social environment, school education, students’ own quality and other factors. And from the four aspects of government support, school culture, family education and personal practice proposed the promotion strategy of the entrepreneurial capacity of higher vocational students, so as to higher vocational colleges in our country in terms of entrepreneurship education has played a very good guide role. This not only ease the difficult situation of employment, but also promote the formation of entrepreneurial atmosphere in higher vocational colleges, and thus effectively improve the success rate of entrepreneurship in Higher Vocational students.
