With the advancement of the new curriculum reform and the comprehensive promotion of quality education in China,various emerging teaching models have emerged and have been widely used in teaching experiments,enhancing teaching effectiveness and efficiency.As a new teaching method,task driven teaching method has significant effects on improving teaching quality.Flower ball cheerleading is a popular course in college physical education,and has important value in promoting the acquisition of knowledge and skills related to sports,interest training,and team spirit.Therefore,based on previous research on the task driven teaching method,combined with the characteristics of flower ball cheerleading,this article applies the task driven teaching method to the teaching of university flower ball cheerleading courses,and examines its teaching effect in university flower ball cheerleading courses.This study uses the methods of literature review,expert interviews,questionnaires,experiments,and mathematical statistics to conduct an experimental study on the application of task driven teaching methods in the teaching of flower ball cheerleading.It compares the impact of the traditional teaching methods and task driven teaching methods on students’ learning attitudes,self-confidence,exercise attitudes,teamwork awareness,and technical proficiency.A total of 40 students from the 2022 physical education class of Fujian Information Technology Vocational College were selected as experimental subjects and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group.Both the experimental and control classes were composed of 20 students,with a total of 40 students.A teaching experiment was conducted for 16 weeks and 32 class hours.The experimental group adopted a task driven approach to teaching,setting various tasks to improve teaching quality.The control group was taught using traditional teaching methods.Before the experiment,the indicators of the two classes of students were tested and investigated,and statistical analysis was conducted to ensure that there was no significant difference in the level of the indicators of the students before the experiment.The experimental results are as follows:(1)Under the task-driven teaching method,students’ learning attitude,self-confidence,exercise attitude,teamwork awareness,and classroom teaching satisfaction have significantly improved.(2)The experimental group of students using task driven teaching methods performed better on the test than the control group of students using traditional teaching methods.(3)After testing,the experimental data on the learning interest and internal motivation of flower ball cheerleading in the two classes have significant differences,and the experimental class is superior to the control class.Therefore,it can be concluded that integrating traditional teaching methods and applying task driven teaching methods in the flower ball cheerleading elective course can help improve students’ learning interest and internal motivation.(4)There were significant differences between the two groups in various dimensions of the final score of flower ball cheerleading(musical rhythm,formation arrangement,movement completion and cohesion)(P<0.05).
