A Study Of Community Work Interventions To Improve The Effectiveness Of Volunteering In Demolition And Resettlement Communities

In recent years,in order to improve the social governance system of co-construction,comanagement and sharing,and to enhance the effectiveness of social governance,the importance of community volunteerism has become increasingly prominent in the construction of China’s urban and rural community service system.The governance model of demolition and resettlement communities is in a transitional stage of transformation,and community governance is affected by multiple factors and faces great challenges.In the development of resettlement communities,community volunteering has shown initial results,but there are also shortcomings.Therefore,it is important to explore practical ways to promote the sustainable development and further enhance the effectiveness of resettlement community volunteering for the grassroots governance of resettlement communities.This study focuses on the effectiveness of volunteering in the demolition and resettlement communities.Based on the empowerment theory and social planning model,the study empowers volunteers and teams and carries out top-down community work interventions.The research was carried out in the demolition and resettlement community of S.The study used quantitative and qualitative research methods on residents,volunteers and community workers,and found that the content of volunteer services in the community was repetitive,the volunteer team lacked a sense of teamwork,volunteers did not know what they were doing,and there was serious staff turnover.Combining the research findings with the actual situation of the community,this study analyses the causes of the above problems and concludes that there are certain shortcomings at the policy,community and volunteer levels in the demolition and resettlement communities.This study is a practical study to improve the effectiveness of volunteering in the T community of S.Through assessing the needs of the residents and volunteers in the T community,the study identifies the objectives of community work interventions,designs and implements programmes,and carries out process and outcome evaluations.Through the intervention of community work to improve the effect of community volunteering in demolition and resettlement,this study has come to the following four conclusions: community work can effectively improve the service capacity of community volunteers,enhance the awareness of community volunteers in volunteering,effectively promote the construction of community volunteering teams,and the "Little Lotus Volunteer" team form is worth promoting.The study also makes recommendations: to improve the incentive mechanism of diversified community volunteer services;to set up the content of community volunteer services in a people-oriented way;and to pay attention to the capacity enhancement of volunteers in the demolition and resettlement communities.
