The teaching model of discovery learning attaches importance to guiding students to actively discover problems.Learners must go through a process of "discovery" to draw conclusions or find answers to problems by themselves.Currently,high school football teaching in our country mostly adopts the method of teacher’s explanation demonstration and students imitating practice,the emphasis on the student’s subject position is insufficient and the student’s initiative is ignored.The sports ability of high school students is weak and the development is unbalanced,and most students’ sports cognition level is poor,so they cannot really master the complete football skill and apply it to the game.This thesis adopts literature research method,interview method,questionnaire method,mathematical statistics method and teaching experiment method to study the influence of discovery learning teaching mode on high school football athletic ability,and applies the discovery learning teaching mode guided by the theory of "discovery learning" to high school football teaching.By stimulating students’ intrinsic motivation,cultivating students’ intuitive thinking and guiding students to carry out knowledge transfer,teachers inspire students to take the initiative to "discover" problems,and explore the influence of this mode on various aspects of high school students’ football athletic ability,including physical fitness,technical and tactical application,sports cognition,sports display and competition.To achieve the goal of enabling students to improve their football ability and master football completely in the process of independent cognition.The main conclusions of this thesis are as follows:(1)It is found that the learning and teaching mode has a certain effect on improving the football athletic ability of high school students.Based on the theory of discovery learning,the teaching mode of discovery learning attaches importance to the principal position of students and gives play to their subjective initiative.The teacher inspires students to actively discover and acquire the learning content that needs to be mastered by stimulating students’ intrinsic motivation,cultivating students’ intuitive thinking and guiding students to transfer knowledge,so as to improve students’ athletic ability.(2)It is found that the learning and teaching mode improves students’ football skills and tactics.By stimulating students’ intrinsic motivation,students’ understanding of the principles of football skills and tactics can be deepened on the basis of cultivating students’ curiosity and reciprocity.By guiding students to transfer knowledge,students are encouraged to transfer the principles of other sports skills and tactics they have mastered and apply them to the study of football skills and tactics,so as to strengthen students’ understanding of football skills and tactics.(3)It is found that the learning and teaching mode has a significant effect on improving students’ cognitive level of football sports,including motor imagery,attention ability and thinking ability.To train students’ intuitive thinking,encourage students to actively construct football technical actions after watching graphical things,and directly obtain answers to questions in a leap forward way,so as to improve students’ cognition level of football sports and to some extent improve the current situation of students’ weak cognition level of sports ability.(4)It is found that learning teaching mode has certain teaching effect on improving students’ sports display and competition ability.It is found that the learning and teaching mode attaches importance to the cultivation of sports demonstration and competition in the athletic ability of students,stimulates the intrinsic motivation of students,and is conducive to the cultivation of students’ self-confidence,the enhancement of students’ interest in football matches,the enhancement of students’ participation in football matches,and the enhancement of their athletic ability in football matches.(5)In terms of the influence of learning and teaching mode on students’ physical fitness,it can improve the explosive power level of boys to a certain extent,but it has no obvious effect on improving the explosive power,endurance and strength quality of girls.The process of students "discovering" problems is a process of students’ active thinking and exploration,which emphasizes more mental thinking and has little correlation with students’ physical development.
