According to the new edition of chemistry curriculum standards for General High Schools issued by the Ministry of Education in December 2017,the educational value of chemistry is to foster students' core chemistry literacy.To carry out the cultivation of the core quality of chemistry,we need to promote the development of students' thinking and the improvement of their discovery ability on the basis of their knowledge.The improvement of students' ability of discovery and the development of students' thinking are closely related to the teaching methods adopted by teachers in the teaching process.Based on the "discovery teaching method" put forward by Bruna,an American educator,this study proposes the "variable discovery teaching method" aiming at the actual teaching effect and existing problems of the "discovery teaching method",that is,"the teaching and learning method that allows students to discover,acquire knowledge and cultivate ability by reading,analyzing,summarizing,summarizing and exploring".The teaching method of variable discovery retains the learning process of discovery,but the implementation process no longer prescribes a fixed mode.At the same time,it generalizes discovery,that is,as long as students obtain knowledge or skills by some means,it is discovery."The research of variable discovery teaching method" is to explore the strategies and methods for students to "discover" knowledge actively or passively,and to verify its effectiveness through educational practice.The specific research content includes the following aspects: The first is to investigate the theoretical basis,practical application and teaching effect of "discovery teaching method";the second is to define the concept of "variable discovery teaching method" according to the relevant theoretical basis;the third is to put forward corresponding teaching strategies and analyze the feasibility of teaching materials and learning situations;the fourth is the practical research of "variable discovery teaching method",that is,to change discovery teaching methods and strategies.It is applied to teaching practice,and its effectiveness is characterized from qualitative and quantitative aspects.The research results show that the "variable discovery teaching method" has a positive impact on students' learning achievements,learning interests,discovery ability,thinking development,learning attitude and way,and plays a positive role in promoting the implementation and training of students' subject core literacy.
