Since the 21 st century, with the accelerated development of Internet technology, the Internet has become involved in all areas of society. As the "Internet generation",the growth of today’s university students is inseparable from the Internet. The abundance of resources and the convenience of communication on the Internet have given university students a global perspective and provided an open and equal social platform. But on the other hand, the invisibility and complexity of the Internet make college students, who are not fully mature physically and mentally, lose their rational thinking and moral direction in the crossfire of various thinking trends and the interference of mixed information, which seriously affects the growth and success of young college students and the construction of the online ecological environment.College students are the reserve force of socialist modernization construction,as well as the hope of the country and the future of the nation, and their ideological and moral education is the focus of common concern of the whole society. Therefore,it is especially urgent to grasp the current situation of online moral misconduct among university students,to gain an in-depth understanding of the influencing factors behind the problem and to put forward feasible suggestions. In this paper,we take university students’ online moral education as the research object, and use literature research method and interdisciplinary research method to summary the current situation of domestic and international research and relevant theoretical knowledge. Then, through the questionnaire survey method,it accurately grasps the specific performance of the new-age college students’ online moral misconduct and further analyses the psychological reasons for its generation. On the basis of the problem-oriented approach,a new path of cultivating university students’ online morality is explored from the four perspectives of "knowledge, emotion, intention and action",with a view to achieving the goal of "improving university students’ online moral quality and building a green and civilized online space".The paper is divided into four parts: the first part is the introduction, which is the precondition for this study. It introduces the background of the study, the significance of the study, the current situation of research at home and abroad, the research ideas and methods as well as the innovation points and shortcomings, and clarifies the line of thought and the main content of the study. The second part elaborates on the concepts and theoretical foundations related to university students’ online moral education, laying a firm theoretical foundation and providing good ideological support. The third part is an empirical study, which summarizes the current situation of university students’ online moral misconduct through a questionnaire survey: lack of online moral cognition, indifferent online moral emotion, weak online moral will and misconduct of online moral behaviour. It also analyzes the psychological reasons and explains the harm of university students’ online moral misconduct. In the fourth part, according to the current situation of online moral misconduct and following the law of physical and mental development of college students, specific and feasible countermeasures are proposed from four perspectives: enriching the content of college students’ online moral education, cultivating college students’ online moral emotions, exercising college students’ online moral will and strengthening college students’ online moral behavior habits.
