| With the development of the information society, people’s ways of life and learning have also changed accordingly.Computational thinking will be an indispensable ability in human learning, and people’s learning methods will also change with the progress of science and technology. In the new curriculum standards released by the Ministry of Education in 2022,computational thinking is defined as an essential core competency in the field of information technology, which demonstrates its importance in cultivating students’ core competencies.Currently,in traditional information technology teaching, the phenomenon of "students listening, teachers speaking" mainly exists in the classroom. In this passive learning method, students often lack initiative, active thinking and practical ability, which affects their cultivation of computational thinking. This study uses the PBL teaching method(based on the "Science and Technology School" of H Primary School),starting from the practical problems closely related to students’ lives, integrating computational thinking into various aspects of teaching activities to stimulate their learning interest and cultivate their computational thinking awareness. This article combines the current situation of information technology courses in primary schools. The author first read and analyzed relevant literature, sorted out research on computational thinking and PBL,determined the research content, clarified two key concepts: computational thinking and PBL teaching mode, clarified the cultivation dimensions of computational thinking, and provided a theoretical basis for this study.Secondly, based on the analysis of the existing PBL teaching mode and the application of PBL in problem-solving,the application value of PBL in problem-solving is analyzed.Based on the subjectivity, directionality, and reflective nature of PBL,the application of PBL is incorporated into information technology classroom teaching, and its impact on students’ computational thinking ability is studied to cultivate students’ computational thinking ability. Finally,in the information technology classroom of a primary school in Qinhuangdao, three stages of action research were conducted and experimental data were obtained.A survey questionnaire was designed through a combination of interviews and surveys, and reference was made to existing authoritative scales to demonstrate the effectiveness of the PBL teaching model in primary school information technology classrooms from multiple perspectives,in order to promote students’ computational thinking. The research results show that compared with traditional teaching methods, constructing a PBL teaching model for computing oriented cultivation in primary school information technology courses has shown significant effects in improving students’ computing thinking ability and attitude. The PBL teaching model can to some extent cultivate students’ computational thinking and improve their level of computational thinking. |
