The rapid changes in Chinese society have an impact on the expression and practice of motherhood,and the issue of motherhood is complex and localized.Co-parenting has been a hot spot in foreign family theory research in the past two or three decades,and co-parenting by ancestors is a traditional feature of Chinese families.Grandparent co-parenting can indeed share part of the mother’s parenting pressure,but it also has certain side effects,the crossing of the parenting division will lead to the parenting help of the grandparents eventually evolve into parenting intervention,and the mother will be troubled by the conflict of maternal roles,affecting the autonomous construction of maternal roles.Through in-depth interviews with 15 mothers in the co-parenting model,this study finds that the dilemma of the conflict of motherhood roles in the co-parenting of ancestors is specifically manifested in five aspects: first,the crossing of the boundary between the division of labor in the parenting of ancestors,the second is the contradiction between experiential parenting and scientific parenting,the third is the lack of fatherhood assistance in the conflict of intergenerational cooperative parenting,the fourth is the fluctuation and disruption of the family subsystem faced by the mother,and the fifth is the interference with the mother’s parenting authority and parenting decision-making power.With the help of the analysis framework of ecosystem theory,this study deconstructs the influencing factors of maternal role conflict in grandparent co-parenting from the four levels of microsystem,middle system,external system and macrosystem,and the influencing factors mainly include personality differences and poor intergenerational communication among family members,kinship relationship and family role cognition between mother and grandparents,"alibi" of male family members in intergenerational parenting conflicts,"high-quality home-school interaction requirements" under the background of home-school cooperation,conflicts between family roles and professional roles,The dereliction and absence of parenting education in community work,the generalization of educational anxiety and the prevalence of paternalism,the problem of social integration under the difference between dual urban and rural structures,the limitations of social systems and the imperfection of social support systems,the transformation of rural society to risk society,the advent of the intelligent era and the era of knowledge economy,and the siege of traditional culture and gender construction,these factors are increasing the pressure of motherhood,triggering conflicts in motherhood roles,and interfering with the autonomy and subjectivity of mothers.Finally,from the perspective of adult education,this study argues that the emergence of conflicting maternal roles in the co-parenting of grandparents actually indicates the occurrence of internal family problems,and mothers cannot be the only learning subjects,and grandparents and fathers should also participate in adult learning.The conflict of maternal roles in the co-parenting of ancestors is closely related to issues such as parenting education,community education,elderly education,lifelong learning concept and the construction of a learning society,and countermeasures should be put forward from the perspective of parenting education,elderly education,community education,lifelong learning concept and learning society,establish mutual aid groups and learning communities,and encourage the construction of learning families,realize intergenerational learning between grandparents and parents,reconstruct the connotation of family education in the new era,and intervene in many "structural concepts" in the construction of maternal roles It was reversed and finally helped the mother out of the predicament of misalignment. |
