| In need of prevention of Novel coronavirus pneumonia,all students are not be able to attend school as a response to the policy No-stop learning.Students have to stay at home and have classes online when they are supposed to be in school.Online teaching puts forward higher requirements for teachers’ teaching organization,student management and the use of information technology,which creates contradictions and conflicts with teachers’ existing abilities.In this paper,it takes the notes of 40 teachers from three primary and secondary schools of different teaching ages,urban and rural backgrounds in Q city as the research objects.Through text analysis and case studies,it is found that the role of teachers in online teaching is adapted,while conduct a comprehensive study on the predicament and current situation of teachers,explore the relevant factors that affect teachers’ role adaptation,and put forward targeted suggestions and strategies for teachers’ role adaptation and ability development.The study found that the roles of online teaching teachers include teaching roles,management roles,technical roles and life roles.The adverse factors leading to role conflict include technical obstacles and fear of software,pressure and lack of timely communication between teachers and students,students’ bad behavior,and family interference.Teachers’ independent learning,teaching methods,teachers’ mutual assistance,parental supervision and family support promote teachers’ role adaptation.By in-depth interviews,we explored the causes of the three teachers’ role adaptation problems,and found that in social life,teachers play multiple roles at the same time.The conflicts between roles and the mismatch between role requirements and their own abilities cause teacher role adaptation problems.The study also found that the three teachers showed different performances in the process of teacher role adaptation,and there were differences in the process of teachers’ teaching role,management role,technical role and life role.The strong initiative learning has become a key factor for teacher G to overcome teaching and technical difficulties.Teacher G,who lacks the support of his family,has to take care of his children while he is in class,and he is so tired of life and work.Poor communication between teacher S and parents made her being struggled in class management.In conclusion,the factors that lead to differences in teacher role adaptation include: The personal level and the social level,where the personal level includes active learning willingness,experience reflection and summary,and the professional spirit of being responsible for students;the social level includes the coverage of teacher training,the opening of educational resources,and the mutual assistance of the teacher team.Finally,around the promotion of teacher role adaptation and ability development,suggestions are made from individual teachers to school support and social security as followed,firstly,the training and construction of teachers’ information technology literacy,secondly,create a good working environment and mobilize teachers’ subjective initiative,thirdly,guide teachers to reflect and accumulate experience to promote ability development,fourthly,face the source of stress and maintain physical and mental health,fifthly,build an excellent team and drive personal development. |
